When securing a watthour meter to a meter box base, a meter sealing ring is typically used. A quick-fastening watthour meter retaining member is provided, in certain embodiment of the present invention, to reduce installation time and generally comprises a circular band, a connector housing member, and a receiver housing member. The connector housing member and a receiver housing member are preferably mounted to the terminus ends of the circular band. A portion of the connector housing member, comprising locking protrusions or “teeth”, is adapted to engage, with a ratchet-type action, in one example embodiment, and fasten into the receiver housing member, which contains, a pre-installed “padlock type” frangible sealing device in an example embodiment. Removal of the ring is accomplished by simply cutting, in one embodiment, and removing the frangible sealing device and allowing the housings to disengage from each other.

CHARGING CONNECTOR

A charging connector comprises a connector main, a lever and a regulating portion. The lever has a latch portion. The latch portion is provided with a locking lug. The locking lug has a locking surface. The lever comprises a main portion and a reinforcing portion. The main portion is made of resin. The reinforcing portion is made of metal plate. The reinforcing portion is held by the main portion. The reinforcing portion has a locking portion and a regulated portion. The locking portion is exposed on the locking surface. When the lever is positioned at a locked position, the regulated portion is positioned rearward beyond the regulating portion in a front-rear direction and faces the regulating portion in the front-rear direction. When the lever is positioned at the locked position, the regulating portion regulates forward movement of the regulated portion in the front-rear direction.

An electronically lockable, electrical plug configured to communicate power and data signals to mobile electronic devices (MED) includes a male electrical plug body insertable into a female electrical socket of the MED and plurality of electrical contacts defined in the male electrical plug for communicating the power and data signals to and from the MED, via corresponding electrical contacts associated with an MED electrical socket. The MED electrical socket is shaped and sized to physically receive and support therein said male electrical plug body. Plug locking elements are formed in the male plug body are so formed as to be lockable to or with corresponding, complementary socket locking elements of the MED, so that upon insertion of the male plug body into the MED socket the electrical plug is locked with the MED. An associated, electronically operable locking mechanism is operable to mechanically disengage the plug locking elements from the socket locking elements to thereby enable the electrical plug to be released from the MED and an electrical cable is coupled to the male plug body for electrically conducting the signals.

COVER SYSTEM AND METHOD

Embodiments of the present invention provide a cover system (300) for at least temporarily preventing access to one or more terminals (402, 404) of an electrical connector (400). The system (300) comprises a first cover part (100) and a second cover part (200). The first cover part (100) comprises sealing means (104) for sealing the first cover part (100) about the one or more terminals (402, 404) of the electrical connector (400). The first cover part also comprises a member (106) comprising an aperture (118) for receiving a locking means. The second cover part (200) is receivable about at least a portion of the first cover part (100) and at least part of the electrical connector (400). The second cover part (200) comprises engaging means (204) for engaging with the electrical connector (400) to at least partially retain the second cover part (200) about the first cover part (100) and at least part of the electrical connector (400). The second cover part (200) also comprises an opening (202) for receiving the member (106) of the first cover part (100). The aperture (106) of the first cover part (100) is arranged such that when the cover system (300) is assembled with the electrical connector (400) and a locking means is received by said aperture (118), disengagement of the engaging means (204) from the electrical connector (400) is substantially prevented. Embodiments of the invention also relate to a method for at least temporarily preventing access to one or more terminals (402, 404) of an electrical connector (400).

APPARATUSES WITH LINEARLY MOVABLE JAWS

According to examples, an apparatus may include a housing having a bay, the bay having a surface opening. The apparatus may also include a connector attached to the housing and a first jaw movably positioned in the bay, the first jaw having a threaded through hole. The apparatus may further have a threaded fastener extending through the surface opening and threadably engaging the threaded through hole, in which rotation of the threaded fastener is to cause the first jaw to move linearly in the bay to removably lock the connector to a port.

VEHICLE AND CHARGING SYSTEM

The vehicle includes an inlet configured to be connected to a charging connector provided in a charging station, a lock device configured to switch between a locked state where the charging connector is locked to the inlet and an unlocked state where the charging connector is removable from the inlet, a power storage device configured to be charged with an electric power supplied through the charging connector, and a control device configured to control charging of the power storage device. In a state where the charging connector is connected to the inlet and the power storage device is being charged, the control device stops charging when the lock device is in the unlocked state.
