CLUSTER RF CONNECTOR WITH BIASING INTERFACE

A cluster connector and cluster port for simultaneously engaging multiple RF connectors with a corresponding plurality of RF ports, wherein the cluster port may be coupled to an RF antenna or radio. The cluster port has a plurality of receiving interfaces wherein each of the receiving interfaces has an axial biasing element that enables simultaneous connection with a plurality of coupling interfaces, wherein each of the coupling interfaces is coupled to the end of an RF cable. The cluster connector of the disclosure also enables selective removal, replacement of one RF cable, and the corresponding coupling interface, without impacting other cables/coupling interfaces.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY HAVING IDENTICAL ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS

An electrical connector assembly includes first and second electrical connectors that are identical in structure. The first electrical connector includes a first housing component having a terminal recess provided therein, a second housing component having a terminal recess provided therein, and a wire terminal assembly including an electrical terminal that is supported by the terminal recesses provided in the first and second housing components of the first electrical connector. The second electrical connector also includes a first housing component having a terminal recess provided therein, a second housing component having a terminal recess provided therein, and a wire terminal assembly including an electrical terminal that is supported by the terminal recesses provided in the first and second housing components of the second electrical connector. The electrical terminal of the first electrical connector and the electrical terminal of the second electrical connector engage one another.

Multiport assembly and associated components

Systems and methods of using a multiport assembly and associated components are disclosed. The multiport assembly can include a multiport device that communicatively couples multiple sets or pairs of connectors, such as optical connectors or electrical connectors, together. The multiport assembly can also include an auxiliary port device that couples to the multiport device to expand the capacity of the multiport assembly. Both the multiport and auxiliary port devices can be selectively configured to receive specific types of connectors by selectively coupling to different types of adapters, where the types of adapters correspond to the types of connectors. When coupled to the multiport or auxiliary port devices, the adapters facilitate the formation of the communication between its corresponding set of connectors.

POWER CONNECTOR WITH ASYMMETRIC INSERTION-TO-EXTRACTION FORCE RATIO

Power connector systems that can have an asymmetric insertion-to-extraction force ratio such that they are easy to mate and can reliably remain connected during use. The power connector systems can have a low-profile for use in thin electronic devices.
