Electrical connector with gripping means on housing and engagement member inserted into housing
A connector, to which an end portion of a cable including a plurality of core wires is to be connected, comprises a housing including an arrangement surface section defining an arrangement space in which the cable is arranged through an opening, and an engagement member arranged in the arrangement space to hold the cable in the arrangement space together with the housing. The housing includes a first engagement portion for locking the cable by being displaced upward to project into the arrangement space, thereby pressing an outer surface of the cable arranged in the arrangement space. The engagement member includes a pair of second engagement portions arranged opposite to each other in a left-to-right direction through contact with the arrangement surface section, when the engagement member is arranged in the arrangement space, so as to lock the cable by pressing and sandwiching the outer surface of the cable.
Cable connector including rising portions for cable connection and electrical connector apparatus using the same
For example, a cable connector including rising portions for cable connection is provided in which transmission characteristics are excellent and connection work can be easily conducted. Two pairs of signal terminals (11B-11E) and a ground terminal (11A) placed between the pairs of signal terminals are included. These terminals (11A-11E) include rising portions (11Ab-11Eb) exposed from a terminal support member, the rising portions rising from a principal surface, which has a terminal-to-terminal direction and a length direction, of the terminal support member toward a cable connection side in a height direction. At least part of the rising portion (11Ab) of the ground terminal is positioned within an area of an intersection region of a first virtual portion (1a) positioned in the terminal-to-terminal direction between the rising portion (11B) of the signal terminal that is adjacent to the ground terminal (11A) and included in one of the pairs and the rising portion (11C) of the signal terminal included in the other pair, and a second virtual portion (a2) positioned between the same rising portions in the length direction, within at least one plane that is orthogonal to the height direction and spreads parallel to the principal surface of the terminal support member.

Branch connector and communication network
A branch connector includes: a first housing having a wiring route portion in which two first cables constituting a twisted pair cable are wired in a twisted shape to be spaced apart from each other; and a second housing to which a pair of pressure contact terminals connected respectively with two second cables constituting a twisted pair cable is fixed. The pair of pressure contact terminals is connected respectively with the two first cables by pressure contact in a state where the second housing is assembled with the first housing.
Electrical connector and modules for high-speed connectivity
A connector system having a plurality of high-speed connector modules, an anti-decoupling connector shell, and a multi axis backshell is provided. The high-speed module provides a low signal degradation electrically conductive signal path for terminated wires of twisted pairs of wires. The high-speed module additionally provides for dense placement of the terminated wires within the connector shell. The connector shell provides an anti-decoupling mechanism to prevent decoupling of the connector shell from a socket type connector shell resulting from typical forces applied to the connector shell. The multi-axis backshell provides mechanisms to toollessly adjust the angle of the various components making up the backshell which in turn provides a specifically angled path for cables contained within the backshell.
