COMMUNICATION CABLE WITH CONNECTOR AND CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A communication cable with connector includes a first terminal, a connector member, a communication cable, a tubular conductive rubber member arranged on the outer periphery of a shielding layer exposed from a sheath in an end part of the communication cable, and a tubular water stop plug provided near the conductive rubber member. The water stop plug includes a cable hole through which the communication cable is inserted, and the cable hole includes a small-diameter portion to be held in close contact with the shielding layer and a large-diameter portion to be held in close contact with the sheath. An end surface of the sheath is caught by a step between the small-diameter portion and the large-diameter portion.
MODULAR TELECOMMUNICATIONS PLUG AND METHOD
A modular plug for terminating a telecommunications cable includes a housing, a plurality of wire contacts, and a wire manager fitted in an internal cavity of the housing. The wire manager includes internal walls shaping a central channel, opposing edges on the internal walls defining a gate in the central channel, and tabs projecting from the gate in the central channel. The tabs define an upper portion and a lower portion in the gate. A strain relief member attaches to the wire manager in an intermediate position to partially restrain the telecommunications cable relative to the wire manager, and is restrained by the housing in a final position to completely restrain the telecommunications cable relative to the wire manager.

COMMUNICATION CABLE WITH CONNECTOR AND CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A connector module provided on an end part of a communication cable used in communication of 100 Mbps or faster includes a first terminal, a connector member for accommodating the first terminal, and a tubular shield member for covering an outer periphery of the connector member, and the shield member is a cast body.
Cable system having shielding layers to reduce and or eliminate EMI leakage
The cable attaches a first component and a second component using a quick disconnect connector pair. The cable includes a twisted pair of wires with a separate shield. A portion of the shielding near the connector is removed to expose the wires and assemble the wires to the connector. To reduce the EMI leakage, the inner shell encloses the exposed portions of the wires. In order to maintain the ground path for the shielding of the shielded twisted wire pairs, the shielding for the twisted wire pairs is connected to the shell. The outer shells facilitate the quick disconnect feature. The outer shell includes one or more slots. The slot allows a portion of the outer shell to become a cantilever beam. The beam deflects during disengagement and engagement with the outer shell.
Electrical connector apparatus and methods of manufacturing the same
A class of electrical connectors are described along with methods of manufacturing the same. In one example embodiment, a method of assembling a connector includes extending a twisted pair through a slot in a seal plate; untwisting the twisted pair along a first distance; inserting first and second conductors of the twisted pair through first and second through holes of a seal carrier; coupling first and second electrical terminals to the first and second conductors; re-twisting the twisted pair along a portion of the first distance by rotating the seal carrier; and inserting the seal carrier into the slot of the seal plate.

Cable assembly
The sleeve is crimped to the outer periphery of the braid, the braid is folded back by the folding-back portion at the front end side of the sleeve, the folded-back braid covers the outer periphery of the sleeve, the braided crimping piece of the shield terminal is crimped to the outer periphery of the sleeve via the folded-back braid, the folded-back braid is held between the sleeve and the braid crimping piece, the sheath crimping piece is crimped to the outer periphery of the sheath, and when a tensile force is applied in the direction in which the cable is relatively separated from the shield terminal, the sleeve is moved in the tensile direction, so that the rear end edge of the sleeve and the front end edge of the sheath crimping piece are brought into abutment with each other.

COUPLERS FOR SINGLE PAIR CONNECTORS
A coupler includes a housing and a contact sub-assembly. The housing includes a channel having openings at first and second ends of the housing. The first end receives a first connector having a first pair of contacts and the second end receives a second connector having a second pair of contacts. The contact sub-assembly includes exactly one pair of coupling contacts and a body portion supporting the pair of coupling contacts. The contact sub-assembly is positioned centrally within the housing and includes an anti-rotation feature and one or more crush ribs to create an interference fit with an interior surface of the housing. The pair of coupling contacts serve to couple the first and second connectors for both power and data transmission. In certain embodiments, contacts sub-assembly utilizes a circuit board to electrically couple contacts.
