An electrical module is electrically conducted with an electronic component, and includes multiple conductors having a first row of conductors arranged in a left-right direction and an insulating body fixing the first row of conductors. Each conductor has a contact portion in contact with the electronic component. A distance between each two adjacent contact portions of the conductors in the left-right direction is defined as a contact interval. The first row of conductors have at least one pair of signal conductors and at least two ground conductors. Each two adjacent sides of the pair of signal conductors has one ground conductor. The contact interval from one signal conductor to its adjacent ground conductor is defined as a first contact interval. The contact interval from the other signal conductor to its adjacent ground conductor is defined as a second contact interval. The first and second contact intervals are not equal.

High frequency electrical connector

An electrical connector with an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts retained thereto. The housing includes a base and a tongue extending forwardly from the base. Each first contact includes, along the front-to-back direction perpendicular to the transverse direction, a front first contacting section, exposed above a mating face of the tongue, a rear first soldering section extending out of the housing, and a first connecting section located therebetween wherein in the pair of first different contacts, the first connecting sections are transversely offset from the corresponding first contacting sections and toward each other so as to have therebetween a distance, in the transverse direction, smaller than that between the corresponding first contacting sections.

IMPEDANCE CONTROL CONNECTOR WITH DIELECTRIC SEPERATOR RIB
20210159644 · 2021-05-27 ·

A dielectric member for controlling impedance for use in an electrical connector. The dielectric member including a housing made of dielectric material and a dielectric rib. The dielectric rib extends from a conductor receiving end of the housing in a direction away from a mating end. The rib is spaced equidistant from each of the conductor receiving openings. The rib extends in a direction which is essentially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the housing. Conductor engaging surfaces are provided on the rib, with a first conductor engaging surface of the conductor engaging surfaces being opposed to a second conductor engaging surface of the conductor engaging surfaces. The first conductor engaging surface and the second conductor engaging surface are spaced apart a distance, wherein the impedance of the conductors proximate the rib is approximately the same as the impedance of the cable.

Contact module for a connector assembly

A contact module includes a leadframe having signal contacts arranged in pairs. Each signal contact includes a lead having sides extending between inner and outer edges. The contact module includes a dielectric frame supporting the leadframe having a first side and a second side with windows extending through the dielectric frame between the first side and the second side. The windows exposing to air the sides, the inner edges and the outer edges of the corresponding leads along a majority of lengths of the leads. The contact module includes a shield structure having a first ground shield at the first side and a second ground shield at the second side to provide electrical shielding for the signal contacts.

EXTENDER MODULE FOR MODULAR CONNECTOR

A modular electrical connector with modular components suitable for assembly into a right angle connector may also be used in forming an orthogonal connector or connector in other desired configurations. The connector modules may be configured through the user of extender modules. Those connector modules may be held together as a right angle connector with a front housing portion, which, in some embodiments, may be shaped differently depending on whether the connector modules are used to form a right angle connector or an orthogonal connector. When designed to form an orthogonal connector, the extender modules may interlock into subarrays, which may be held to other connector components through the use of an extender shell. The mating contact portions on the extender modules may be such that a right angle connector, similarly made with connector modules, may directly mate with the orthogonal connector.
