PoE system for the distribution of high voltage power

The present invention provides a system comprising PoE apparatus including midspans, switches and routers that can provide high powered PoE connections that enable the recovery of DC power in sufficient quantities that allow it to be converted to AC power by way of an inverter. The invention also provides a method for providing AC power, data and light to office workstations using a single PoE connection. The invention further comprises a common mode signaling system that operates independently of any TCP/IP signal transmitted through an Ethernet connection wherein said signaling system is adapted to communicate with and control PoE powered devices.

ELECTRIC CONNECTOR AND ASSEMBLY THEREOF WITH IMPROVED MOUNTING FEATURES

An electrical connector includes an insulating body, a number of first conductive terminals and a number of second conductive terminals. Each first conductive terminal includes a first mating arm. Each second conductive terminal includes a second mating arm and a second press-fit portion for being mounted to a circuit board. Among the second conductive terminals, the second press-fit portions corresponding to any two adjacent second mating arms are arranged in a staggered manner with each other along a second arrangement direction of the second mating arms. Therefore, it effectively avoids the mutual influence between the second press-fit portions, and facilitates the realization of the installation with the circuit board. The present disclosure also discloses an electrical connector assembly having the electrical connector.

CONNECTOR AND FORMING METHOD OF CONNECTOR

A connector comprises an insert-molded body. The insert-molded body comprises a housing and a terminal partially embedded in the housing. The housing has a main portion. The main portion is formed with a trace hole and an accommodation space. The terminal has a held portion, a bent-back portion extending forward from the held portion, a support portion extending rearward from the bent-back portion and a contact portion supported by the support portion. The held portion has a wide portion. When the insert-molded body is seen from above, the wide portion is, at least in part, visible through the trace hole. Each of the support portion and the contact portion has a size smaller than that of the wide portion in the lateral direction. The wide portion is partially visible through the accommodation space when the insert-molded body is seen from below.

Electrical cable assembly

The cable assembly includes a first wire assembly. The first wire assembly is connected to a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a shell and the shell includes an extension. The extension extends away from the rear of the connector. In one embodiment, the extension is integral with the shell. The extension includes one or more openings. The first wire assembly is bent in a controlled manner at first bend. The first opening in the extension maintains the first wire assembly in the bent position to maintain control of the radius in first bend. The radius is controlled to allow the first wire assembly to fit in a small space.
