Battery charger with battery state detection
A battery charger and method is disclosed for detecting when a battery has a low state of health while simultaneously charging or maintaining the battery. A battery charger includes a processor; a non-transitory memory device; a power management device to receive an input power and to output a charging current; a pair of electrical conductors to electrically couple with a battery, and a display electrically coupled to the processor. The display being configured to indicate a bad battery indicator when the battery has a low state of health and whether the battery is good to start.
CAPACITOR IN SOCKET
The present invention provides for an improved method and structure for forming an electrical interconnects mechanism in a Power Distribution Network (PDN) by placing capacitors on the top of the pin array on the printed circuit board (PCB) of the structure to decouple the PDN and results in lower impedance benefitting the frequency range of the PDN effecting a significant performance improvement in the spring-pin inductance from the transmission line. This reduction in impedance reduces the power supply ripple.
Capacitor-based connector for coaxial cable
A gas turbine engine includes a housing including a first component providing an AC signal into an input cable. The input cable extends to an input conductive plate. The input conductive plate is in contact with a dielectric plate, and an output conductive plate is attached to an opposed side of the dielectric plate. The output connective plate extends to an output cable extending to a second component, such that a capacitance based connection is provided between the input and output cables, to communicate from first component sensor to the second component.
Electrical connector having thick film layers
An electrical connector electrically connects a first printed circuit board and a second printed circuit board, where the electrical connector includes: (a) an insulative housing; (b) a plurality of signal conductors, with at least a portion of each of the plurality of signal conductors disposed within the insulative housing; (c) each of the plurality of signal conductors having a first contact end, a second contact end and an intermediate portion therebetween; and (d) a passive circuit element electrically connected to the intermediate portion of each of the plurality of signal conductors, where the passive circuit element is housed in an insulative package and includes at least a capacitor or an inductor.
Alternating current power input socket
An AC power input socket includes a casing and at least two conductive pins. The casing comprises a connection side and an output side based on performance of the AC power input socket. The casing is provided with an accommodating groove at the connection side, each of the two conductive pins includes a power connection section located in the accommodating groove, an output section extending from the power connection section and passing through the casing to be exposed on the output side, and a capacitor connecting section extending from an end of the output section. Each of the conductive pins is provided with a through hole in the output section for disposing an electric wire, and the capacitor connecting section provides a capacitor pin to be connected thereon, so that the capacitor pin and the electric wire do not need to be disposed at a same hole position.

Connector system for a component in a power management system in a motor vehicle
The present disclosure relates to a connector system that provides a sealed and grounded electrical connection for a component of a power management system, like those found in a battery-powered motor vehicle. The connector system includes a male connector assembly and an adaptor assembly. The adaptor assembly includes: (i) a capacitor assembly, (ii) a female terminal assembly, and (iii) a busbar assembly. An internal electrical connection state is defined when: (a) the female terminal assembly is electrically coupled to the capacitor assembly, (b) the capacitor assembly is electrically coupled to the busbar assembly, and (c) the busbar assembly is electrically coupled to an extent of the component of the power management system. In the internal electrical connection state, the electrical couplings are sealed from the external environment which increases the operating life, durability and reliability of the adaptor assembly, the connector system and the power management system component.
MODULAR CONNECTOR
A modular connector includes a housing, a circuit board located in the housing, a connector assembly connected to the circuit board, and a coil module mounted to the circuit board. The connector assembly includes a number of conductive terminals. The coil module includes a first coil module and a second coil module. The first coil module includes a number of first coils and a number of first coil groups. The second coil module includes a second coil. The second coil is divided into a number of second coil groups along its circumference. The first coil groups and corresponding second coil groups are coupled, thereby improving the electromagnetic shielding effect of the modular connector.
USB connector with double shield layers
The present invention provides a method for designing USB floating with low electromagnetic interference, especially in a scenario in which a distance between a pin and a metal housing of a USB interface of a terminal device is increasingly small. A first plug and a second plug are connected by using a connection cable having a first shield layer and a second shield layer. The first shield layer and the second shield layer overlap and there is no electrical connection between the first shield layer and the second shield layer. One end of the first shield layer is connected to a metal housing of the first plug, and the other end is suspended. One end of the second shield layer is connected to a metal housing of the second plug, and the other end is suspended. In addition, a metal housing of a first socket and a metal housing of a second socket may be connected to a housing of the terminal device or a housing of an adapter by using a capacitive component, thereby helping the terminal device reduce a short circuit risk and radiation.
