Flexible redundant input/output (I/O) schemes for I/O channels
A redundancy termination panel includes first and second interfaces configured to be coupled to first and second I/O modules, respectively. The redundancy termination panel also includes a third interface configured to be coupled to a field device. The redundancy termination panel further includes an I/O channel circuit associated with an I/O channel between the I/O modules and the field device. The I/O channel circuit is configured to allow an input current used for receiving data from the field device to be split such that different portions of the input current are sourced by different ones of the I/O modules. The I/O channel circuit is also configured to combine multiple currents driven by different ones of the I/O modules and provide an output current used for sending data to the field device.
FLEXIBLE, INTERRUPTIBLE RADIAL BUS AND BUS-MOUNTED BEAD DEVICE
A multi-conductor bus with radially arranged conductor wires on which addressable bead devices that may incorporate light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or other surface mount devices (SMDs) can be easily mounted. The radial bus is designed to provide an improved range of flexibility and motion while allowing for easy addition of bead devices along its length that can utilize self-addressing bus protocols such as cascading device protocols. The design of the flexible, interruptible radial bus facilitates the use of pass-through and interrupted paths along the bus that can simplify the installation of addressable devices along the bus such as the bus-mounted bead devices disclosed herein.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION SUPPORT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USE
An assembly to electrically attach equipment is disclosed. The assembly may include a junction box and the equipment may include solar panels.
DIODE-INCLUDED CONNECTOR, PHOTOVOLTAIC LAMINATE AND PHOTOVOLTAIC ASSEMBLY USING SAME
One embodiment relates to a connector that includes a diode. The diode has an anode and a cathode. The connector further includes a first electrical connection which connects to the anode, a second electrical connection which also connects to the anode, and a third electrical connection which connects to the cathode. Another embodiment relates to a photovoltaic laminate which includes a string of photovoltaic cells and three electrical conductors extending out of two discrete penetrations of the laminate. A first electrical conductor is connected to a first end of the string, a second electrical conductor is connected to a second end of the string, and a third electrical conductor is also connected to the second end of the string. The first and third electrical conductors extend out of the first discrete penetration, while the second electrical conductor extends out of the second discrete penetration. Other features and embodiments are also disclosed.
Current Signaling Wall Socket Face Plate
A current signaling electric wall socket face plate including a rigid panel having a frontside and a backside; at least a first terminal face exposing opening, extending through the rigid panel; a light emitting diode having a pair of electric terminals, the light emitting diode being fixedly mounted upon the rigid panel, the light emitting diode being positioned for emitting light forwardly from the rigid panel and; an electrically conductive wire having a pair of ends, the ends of the electrically conductive wire being electrically connected to the light emitting diode pair of electric terminals, wherein the electrically conductive wire forms a coil, and wherein the coil forms a conductor encircling loop.
PLUG FOR AN INTERNET-OF-THINGS DEVICE
A plug for connecting to an Internet-of-Things device is provided. The plug has a housing and a printed circuit board with a first and second end. The printed circuit board is provided in the housing. The first end of the printed circuit board is connected to a hybrid single pair Ethernet cable. The second end of the printed circuit board is provided with a plug-in face with contact surfaces, by means of which the plug can be coupled to the Internet-of-Things device. The plug also has an EMC protection unit in or on the printed circuit board.
SMART MODULE FOR PATCH ENCLOSURE PANEL RECEIVING DATA TRANSFER CABLES
A smart module (1) intended to equip a passive panel (12) of a patch enclosure comprising two lateral uprights (16, 17) bearing a series of passive panels. The module (1) comprises a body (2) in the form of a ruler and two fixing tabs (3, 4), each fixing tab (3, 4) comprising at least one hole (21-24) allowing it to be fixed rigidly to an upright (16, 17) by means of a screw, each fixing tab (3, 4) being able to be rigidly secured to an end of the body (2) by snap-fitting.
Electrical Cord Having Plugs With Multi-Functional Light Indicators
An electrical cord having improved safety features comprises a plug having a body portion surrounding respective ends of first, second, and third electrical wires. A live receptacle is in electrical communication with the end of the first electrical wire. A neutral receptacle is in electrical communication with the end of the second electrical wire. A ground receptacle is in electrical communication with the end of the third electrical wire. The body portion surrounds and maintains the live, neutral, and ground receptacles in spaced apart orientation corresponding to blades on an electrical plug. Multiple indicator lights are provided to indicate various states of the plug in which electricity is supplied to the plug.
