CABLE TERMINATION WITH AN INTEGRATED MONITORING DEVICE
A cable termination including a cable terminal and a cable joint assembly. The cable terminal includes: a terminal conductor; a monitoring device including a capacitive voltage sensor around the terminal conductor; and an electrically insulating body fitted around the terminal conductor, including a bell-shaped end portion in which the voltage sensor is at least partially embedded. The cable terminal alternatively includes: a terminal conductor; a monitoring device including a capacitive voltage sensor around the terminal conductor; and an electrically insulating body fitted around the terminal conductor, including a bell-shaped end portion in which the voltage sensor is at least partially embedded and a stem end portion, the terminal conductor extending beyond the stem end portion.
Charger extension cable for electric car
A charger extension cable for an electric car is connected with a home circuit and a charging gun of the electric car, and the charger extension cable contains: a body. A plug connects with a home circuit, and the plug connects with an electromagnetic protection switch via a first extension part, wherein an output end of the electromagnetic protection switch connects with a measuring meter, and an output end of the measuring meter couples with a first socket via a second extension part, the first socket is applied to connect with the charging gun.
Hose for Conveying Fluid
A hose is disclosed for conveying fluids. The hose has a wall defining a fluid carrying tube and a power and/or data transmission cable is integrated into said wall. Also disclosed is a user definable module that is removably attachable to the distal end of a fluid conveying hose. The hose being releasably connectable to a fluid receiving entity to provide fluid to said entity. The fluid conveying hose has a wall defining a fluid carrying tube and a power and/or data transmission cable integrated into that wall. The user definable module is connectable to the cable and has components to measure at least one measurable parameter at the end of the hose and/or provide electrical connection between the cable and said fluid receiving entity for the transmission of data and/or power along the hose via said user definable interface. Also disclosed is a method of configuring a hose for fluid transfer. The method includes the step of selecting a user definable module and attaching the selected module to a distal end of the hose prior to connecting said hose to a fluid receiving entity.
Smart plug having plug blade detection
A smart plug system is disclosed. The smart plug system includes a power plug configured to receive an alternating current power signal from shore power, a power receptacle configured to receive a plug having a plug blade, and a plug detection switch configured to detect receipt of the plug blade in the power receptacle. A rectifier circuit is included to rectify the alternating current power signal received at the power plug when the plug detection switch is actuated by receipt of the plug blade. The plug detection switch is further configured to prevent rectification of the alternating current power signal by the rectifier circuit when the plug blade is removed from the power receptacle. A logic level converter is included to receive the rectified power signal to convert the rectified power signal to a logic level signal.
PLUG CONNECTOR PART HAVING A TEMPERATURE SENSOR DEVICE
A plug connector part for connection to a mating plug connector part includes: at least one electrical contact element for carrying an electrical current and establishing electrical contact with at least one other contact element of a mating plug connector part; and a temperature sensor device for recording an increase in temperature of the plug connector part, the temperature sensor device including at least one sensor element, which is designed to detect infrared radiation emitted by the at least one electrical contact element.
Earthquake sensing module and earthquake sensing system
An earthquake sensing module includes an acceleration sensor configured to detect accelerations on a plurality of detection axes, a module control unit configured to control the acceleration sensor, and a module storage unit configured to store state information of the acceleration sensor.
ELECTRICAL POWER LOAD SWITCH WITH CONNECTION SENSOR
An electrical power coupler is configured to convey electrical power upon detecting that a compatible other coupler is properly aligned and no undesirable operating conditions are detected. The power coupler includes a first ferromagnetic metal adjacent a first magnet, a hall sensor for detecting a magnetic field in the first ferromagnetic metal, and at least two first electrical contacts. A control unit is in electrical communication with the power conductors, and includes an electrical switch operable to selectively allow a flow of electricity from a power source through the associated power conductors when the hall sensor detects the magnetic field, such as when the first electrical contacts are in contact with at least two second electrical contacts of another electrical power coupler. The second electrical contacts make contact with the first electrical contacts upon proper alignment of a correspondingly configured other electrical power coupler.
System and method for detecting the position of a cover of an electrical connector
A trailer tow connector including: at least one set of terminals for coupling to corresponding terminals of a trailer connector; a cover having a closed position for covering the terminals and an open position for providing access to the terminals for connecting corresponding terminals of the trailer connector thereto; a magnet coupled to the cover; and a magnetic field sensor, the magnetic field sensor being configured to provide a first output when the cover is in the closed position and a second output different from the first output when the cover is in an open position.
