The system also includes a portable cable having one end for connection to the external power source, and a portable terminal provided on the other end for connection to a second connection terminal of the charging control box. The vehicle terminal has a first corresponding key configured to be engaged and coupled with the first key of the first connection terminal, and the portable terminal has a second corresponding key configured to be engaged and coupled with the second key of the second connection terminal.
Twist-lock connector system having a light sensor assembly
A twist-lock connector system includes a first twist-lock connector including a first connector housing holding first twist-lock contacts at a first rotate-to-mate interface. The first twist-lock connector includes a first high speed electrical connector. The first high speed electrical connector is movable relative to the first connector housing between a home position and a rotated position. The first twist-lock connector includes a biasing member coupled to the first high speed electrical connector to bias the first high speed electrical connector to the home position. The twist-lock connector system includes a second twist-lock connector having a second connector housing holding second twist-lock contacts and a second high speed electrical connector at a mating interface.
Electrical connector with sensor
A connector system includes a connector for connecting a first conductor in electrical communication with a second conductor, and a sensor supported adjacent the connector. The sensor is in electrical communication with the first conductor and in electrical communication with the second conductor. The sensor detects a characteristic of the connection between the first conductor and the second conductor.
End plug sensor device with voltage divider and test point features
A sensor for a separable connector comprises a plug body comprising an insulating resin, the plug body configured to be inserted into the separable connector to encase a high voltage conductor disposed in the separable connector. The sensor also includes one or more high voltage capacitors encased by the insulating resin and configured to be electrically coupled to the separable connector at a first end portion when the plug body is inserted and one or more low voltage capacitors electrically coupled in series to the one or more high voltage capacitors to form a capacitive voltage divider. The sensor also includes a low voltage connection configured to provide a low voltage signal corresponding to a high voltage signal present in the separable connector, the low voltage connection comprising a coaxial contact having a first metal contact and a second metal contact.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a pair of contacts accommodated in the insulative housing and a temperature sensing element electrically connected with the contacts. The insulative housing defines a base portion and a receiving portion extending forwards from the base portion, the receiving portion has a cavity opening towards one side thereof. Each contact defines a retaining portion held in the base portion, a contacting arm provided at one end of the retaining portion and protruding into the cavity, and a mating arm provided at the opposite end of the retaining portion. The temperature sensing element is at least partially received in the cavity and connecting with the contacting arm of the contact in the cavity.
CHARGING CABLE WITH CHARGING PLUG
A charging cable is provided having a charging plug for electrically driven motor vehicles. A method for its operation is also provided.
ELECTRIC SIGNAL ADAPTING DEVICE
An electric signal adapting device includes at least one first adapting interface and at least one first adaptor. The at least one first adapting interface comprises a magnetic component and a magnetic sensing component. The first adaptor is placed in correspondence with the first adapting interface. The first adaptor is electrically connected to each of the corresponding at least one first adapting interface for transferring the DC electric signal and connecting the DC electric signal to an external device. The magnetic component is configured to attract the at least one first adaptor. The magnetic sensing component is configured to determine whether the at least one first adaptor is correctly placed. When the magnetic sensing component determines that the at least one first adaptor is correctly placed, the at least one first adapting interface transfers the DC electric signal to the at least one first adaptor.
