System and method for monitoring the connection of a pluggable lighting unit to a socket
A socket (16) is designed to receive a plug of a pluggable device (14). The socket has a detection arrangement (42) for detecting connection of a plug to the socket. A new session identifier is generated each time a plug is connected to the socket and it remains valid while the plug remains attached. The session identifier is preferably generated mechanically (48) so that it can be generated without power to the socket or to the plug. This enables detection of system tampering of a system using the sockets.
Power over ethernet connection with power control
A controlled-power RJ45 socket includes a housing having a cavity to receive an RJ45 plug. The socket further includes electrical contacts positioned in the cavity and that come in contact with electrical contacts of the RJ45 plug when the RJ45 plug is plugged into the RJ45 socket. A switch is positioned to disconnect the power to the electrical contacts of the RJ45 socket before the electrical contacts of the RJ45 plug are physically detached from the electrical contacts of the RJ45 socket during a de-mating of the RJ45 plug from the RJ45 socket.
WALL-MOUNTED MULTIFUNCTIONAL ELECTRICAL RECEPTACLE
An electrical receptacle providing standard alternating current (AC) power connectors and multiple side-mounted auxiliary ports. Auxiliary ports may include direct current (DC) power delivery means, such as USB ports, and/or unpowered ports, such as audio/visual equipment connectors or network ports.
Electrical tap box engagement system and assembly
The present disclosure relates to a system of assemblies for remotely actuating a tap box to a continuous access busway. The system includes a tap box having a male component with electric contacts positionable between an engaged position and a disengaged position with a continuous access busway. A remote actuator interface positioned along the tap box for being selectively attached to a remote actuator device for manipulating the male component between the engaged position and the disengaged position. The remote actuator device may be a powered actuator device or an elongated control rod wherein the powered actuator device and elongated control rod may be selectively coupled to the remote actuator interface to manipulate the male component between the engaged position and the disengaged position relative to the continuous access busway from a safe distance to reduce the event of injury due to arch flashing or electrocution.
Wall-mounted device
Disclosed is a wall-mounted device, which is mainly provided with a base and a cover plate, and the at least one module circuit board is provided in the cover plate. The power terminal of at least one module circuit board is electrically connected to an exterior live wire circuit of the base, so the interior live wire circuit is able to independently supply power to the module circuit board of the cover plate. As the result, the base is able to fit or replace with any cover plate provided with module circuit board, and connects to any electronic device or network to remotely control and operate.
Apparatus system and method for retrofitting a fluorescent light fixture to an LED-based lighting system
A system, method, and apparatus for retrofitting a fluorescent light fixture accommodating an LED-based lighting system. A track is electrically connected to the driver module. The track includes at least one electronic conductor that is connected along the length of the track. At least one track adapter may connect to the track, and the track adapter includes a locking mechanism that allows the track adapter to connect to the track at any location along the track and the track may be removed. The locking mechanism may permit the track adapter to be removable. At least one light engine module can connect to the track and may also be removable.
TERMINAL DEVICE
A terminal device including a first device and a second device includes at least one external connection terminal provided inside a housing of the first device and a hinge opening and closing the second device with respect to the first device. The hinge includes a bracket including a main body that holds an axis of the hinge and is fixed to an end portion of the housing of the first device and including an extension portion that extends to a position of the external connection terminal from the main body to abut on the external connection terminal and presses the external connection terminal toward an inner surface of the housing of the first device. Wobble of the external connection terminal is regulated by the bracket of the hinge.
SUPPORT LIGHTING FOR ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS
A lighting system is incorporated into the ends of the electrical power cords to provide light when working in dark environments. The lighting source is preferably battery-operated, thus allowing the user to find power receptacles when in these dark environments. Additionally, a second power source is included in the plug receptacle end, which can be battery-powered or can be powered by electrical power carried within the power lines.
Leakage Current Detection and Interruption (LCDI) Device With Ignition Containment Features
A Leakage Current Detection and Interruption (LCDI) device, for use as a safety device for a load cable. The LCDI circuit card assembly incorporates a load input cavity having fire retardant materials surrounding the load input terminals, a separated containment cavity structure for a first Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV), and a contact actuator which encases the switch or contact arm at the source input section of the LCDI. The circuit design incorporates redundant safety features for containment of spurious ignitions.
Active cover plates
A variety of active cover plate configurations with prongs configured to contact side screw terminals of electrical receptacles are described.
