DETECTING DECOUPLING OF A FIRST CONNECTOR PART FROM A SECOND CONNECTOR PART OF AN ELECTRICAL PLUG CONNECTOR
A technique is provided for detecting decoupling of a first connector part, connected to a first device, of an electrical plug connector from a second connector part, connected to a second device, of the electrical plug connector. A corresponding method, a corresponding apparatus, a corresponding electrical plug connector as well as the first connector part and the second connector part of the plug connector, a corresponding device and a computer program product are stated.
ELECTRONIC OUTLET PLACE HOLDER
A plug in power strip that prevents electricity from traveling to an appliance when not in use is disclosed. The power strip may use either sensor technology or a manually operated switch that when an appliance is unused will be alerted and will prevent electricity from traveling to the appliance, thus not wasting energy. The resulting shut off will save energy, save money and be safer for homeowners. When the user deems it useful to begin using the appliance once again, the plug in power strip will re-open the channel to let electricity back into that specific appliance. Therefore, the plug in power strip of the present invention keeps optimally keeps appliances running, but does not waste electricity.
PLUG
Provided is a plug for use as a disconnector for current transformers. Two types of short circuits are provided in the plug. A first short circuit is used for diverting overvoltages by short-circuiting the electrical contacts in the plug. A second short circuit is provided for short-circuiting electrical contacts in the plug when the plug is not contacted. The short circuits are designed in such a way that the first short circuit is used as a fuse when the second short circuit fails.
Locking device for plug connectors
A locking arrangement for plug connectors, comprising a first locking device and a second locking device. The two locking devices can be plugged together and engaged with one another. At least one blocking element is provided for engaging the first locking device with the second locking device. The blocking element is suitable for mechanical engaging and can be actuated and released via an actuator. In addition, another actuator is arranged in the first locking device or in the second locking device to protect against failure of the locking arrangement. The engaging of the two locking devices can be released by the actuator, even when the actuator fails. The first locking device and the second locking device are provided for use in a plug and a corresponding counter plug.
Receptacles for memory devices and methods of operation thereof
An interface is provided comprising: a receptacle arranged to receive a memory device; and a detection signal line arranged to transmit an electrical signal identifying a type of the memory device.

Connector
A connector includes a male housing having a male beak, a plurality of male terminals, a female housing having a female lock portion climbing over the male beak to be locked to the male beak in a fitted state with the male housing, a plurality of female terminals aligned in the alignment direction in the female housing and connected to the respective male terminals in the fitted state, a CPA member having a CPA lock portion capable of being locked to the female lock portion at a fitting assurance position, and short-circuiting pieces provided in the female housing and short-circuiting the adjacent female terminals in the female housing in a non-fitted state. Contact positions between the female terminals and the short-circuiting pieces and locking positions at which the female terminals are locked in the female housing are different from each other about a fitting direction when viewed therefrom.
ELECTRICAL POWER LOAD SWITCH WITH CONNECTION SENSOR
An electrical power coupler is configured to convey electrical power upon detecting that a compatible other coupler is properly aligned and no undesirable operating conditions are detected. The power coupler includes a first ferromagnetic metal adjacent a first magnet, a hall sensor for detecting a magnetic field in the first ferromagnetic metal, and at least two first electrical contacts. A control unit is in electrical communication with the power conductors, and includes an electrical switch operable to selectively allow a flow of electricity from a power source through the associated power conductors when the hall sensor detects the magnetic field, such as when the first electrical contacts are in contact with at least two second electrical contacts of another electrical power coupler. The second electrical contacts make contact with the first electrical contacts upon proper alignment of a correspondingly configured other electrical power coupler.
