Configured port-width indication for ganged-style connectors
System, methods, and apparatuses for indicating the configured port width for ganged-style data connectors. An exemplary apparatus comprises a plurality of connectors supporting data connections and a plurality of visual indicators. The plurality of connectors are capable of being configured with two or more of the plurality of connectors ganged together to provide increased data width connections. Each or the visual indicators is associated with one of the plurality of connectors. An electrical circuit drives the plurality of visual indicators and is configured to control the visual indicators to visually indicate a configured port width for each data connection supported by the connectors, including those formed by ganging together two or more of the connectors.
BACKUP POWER CONTROL UNIT
The invention relates to the novel ornamental and utilitarian features for a back power control system comprising a backup power control unit in communication with a remote sensing unit where the backup power control unit receives power from an external power source such as a power generator and back-feeds power into an electrical circuit output.
REMOTE SENSING UNIT
The invention relates to novel ornamental and utilitarian features of a backup power control system comprising a remote sensing unit in communication with a backup power control unit. The remote sensing unit is configured to detect the status of a power grid and transmit such status to the backup power control unit.
Electrical connection device
The present disclosure relates to an electrical connection apparatus provided on a substrate, comprising a base, a flexible circuit board, two connectors, and a fixing member. The flexible circuit board has a mating portion with a plurality of soldering pads; a mounting portion with a plurality of conductive blocks; and a plurality of conductive traces connecting the plurality of pads and the plurality of conductive blocks. The two connectors each have an insulative housing and a terminal. Each terminal has a soldering portion connected to the soldering pad. The substrate has a plurality of soldering pads connecting the conductive blocks. The fixing member fixes the base to the substrate. The present disclosure utilizes a ground layer of the flexible circuit board to reduce a signal crosstalk between the conductive traces, and utilizes the conductive blocks to connect the flexible circuit board and the substrate to improve coplanarity.
Vehicle media hub assembly
A vehicle media hub assembly includes a housing having a display surface with an aperture, and a port disposed at least partially within the housing and extending into the aperture, the port configured to provide electrical and/or signal communication between two electrical devices. A lighting device is disposed within the aperture at least partially around the port. A door is coupled to the housing and movable between an open position providing access to the display surface, and a closed position covering the display surface. The door includes a window and a translucent cover at least partially covering the window. The window is configured to be disposed proximate the lighting device when the door is in the closed position such that light from the lighting device is configured to pass through the window and the translucent cover to illuminate at least a portion of the translucent cover.
Rocker-arm assemblies with connectable cable
Examples relate to devices comprising a stationary pivot plenum and a rocker-arm assembly pivotally coupled to the stationary pivot plenum and wherein the rocker-arm assembly comprises an inner conduit having at least one connector bay in which a connector of a cable assembly is removably coupled to the connector bay. In such examples the inner conduit of the rocker-arm assembly is accessible from the outside of the rocker-arm assembly to independently engage/disengage the removable cable assembly to/from the at least one connector bay.
Central vacuum cleaning system control subsystems
A central vacuum cleaning system including a receptacle for receiving dirt; conduits terminating in valves to which a flexible hose may be attached; a motor for generating airflow through the conduits to the receptacle; a motor control circuit controlling power to the motor; and a remote module receiving, through a communications medium from the motor control circuit, signals indicating an operating condition of the central vacuum cleaning system.
LIGHT GUIDE COMPONENT, PLUG, AND ADAPTER
A plug (102) for connection with a receptacle (200) via a front face thereof on which a display lamp (210, 211) is formed. The plug (102) is provided with a light guide unit (112, 113) with one end for the entry of light from the display lamp (210, 211), wherein the input light is guided to a position or in a direction that is unlikely to be blocked by the plug (102) connected to the receptacle (200) or by a cable connected to the plug (102) connected to the receptacle (200), and then output from the other end. In this way, the visibility of the display lamp (210, 211) with the plug (102) connected to the receptacle (200) is improved.
Electrical cables having integrated and manually controllable identification and illumination light sources
A cable for communicating digital or analog signals between connectors at its opposite ends has means for indicating to an installer who has access to one end of the cable which connector is connected at the opposite end of the same cable. A light source is mounted in each connector that is powered by a battery in the connectors and can be turned on from a switch in the connector at the opposite end. The light source is configured to radiate light both transversely from its connector for an indicator function and also longitudinally from its connector for an illumination function. Implementation with logic circuits, microcontrollers and/or other semiconductor devices allows for a variety of embodiments.
CHARGE PORT DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A charge port device includes a charge port provided in a port accommodation recess and a lid for concealing the port accommodation recess. A latch is provided in the port accommodation recess on an opposite side to a lid hinge with respect to the charge port. A slit is formed between a surface of a vehicle body and an outer circumferential edge of the lid while the lid is closed. A lamp is provided at a position in the port accommodation recess between the latch and the slit on an opposite side to the lid hinge with respect to the charge port and the position is not visible from outside while the lid is closed. Formed is a light-guiding reflection path that guides a light emitted from the lamp toward the above-mentioned slit as an indirect light by reflecting the light while the lid is closed.
