A wiring harness testing assembly for testing a wiring harness for wiring faults includes a puck that is positionable on a female coupler of a wiring harness on a semi-truck and the puck is foraminous. A plurality of testing lights is provided and each of the testing lights has a contact that is insertable through a respective foramen in the puck to electrically engage the female coupler of the wiring harness when the puck is positioned on the female coupler. Furthermore, respective ones of the testing lights are turned on when the contact on the respective testing light completes a circuit with a respective wire on the wiring harness thereby facilitating the respective wire to be tested for continuity.

MODULE CONNECTOR DAMAGE DETECTION AND CONTROLLED INSERTION

Embodiments herein describe preventing a pluggable module from connecting to a chassis until ensuring there is no damage on the pluggable module, the chassis, or both. In one embodiment, the chassis includes a blocking element that prevents or blocks the pluggable module from mating with the chassis. The chassis can also include a camera for capturing an image of the pluggable module to determine whether there is damage to its connection elements (e.g., pins). If not, the chassis can release the locking pin to permit the pluggable module to mate with connection elements on the chassis.

Powered wall plate

A powered wall plate with a plug-in module having an electrical plug and an module cover. The electrical plug has at least two electrical prongs that are configured to removably mate with an electrical receptacle. The module cover is located adjacent to the electrical plug and has a surround configured to extend around a portion of the perimeter of the wall plate, an LED light located along a bottom edge of the module cover, a USB port exposed on a surface of the module cover, and a circuit contained within the module cover and configured to supply power to the USB port and the LED light when power is supplied to the electrical prongs. The wall plate has a first mounting screw aperture and the plug-in module has a second mounting screw aperture that receive a mounting screw, attaching the plug-in module to the wall plate and the electrical device.
