Smart cable system for a truck trailer
A cable system for a truck trailer with connectors having a main power connection, a ground connection, and one, two, or more communication cable connections. Connectors include at least a power and ground connection for electrically connecting an individual trailer to the cable system. A master control circuit may be included in the trailer nosebox, and the master control circuit configured to send commands to slave control circuits mounted within the connectors. The slave control circuits in the connectors are configured to receive a control command sent by the master control circuit that may include an address, mode identifiers, or other indications of which connectors in the cable system should take action, and what actions should be taken.
RECHARGEABLE USB ELECTRICAL OUTLET WITH INTEGRATED LIGHTING WITH CONNECTIVITY
An electrical outlet device and system for providing light and power during the night or during a power failure. The device and system includes rechargeable energy storage devices that can be utilized to provide power to the outlet(s) and the light sources. The device and system can have two sections, a main and a removable section both having their own energy storage devices and light sources. The removeable section may connected with a computing device that can interface with a wireless module to transmit/receive data packets wirelessly.
Magnetic connector
A magnetic connector has a plug core disposed around a plug contact set and a receptacle core disposed around a receptacle contact set. The plug core defines a generally elongated circular plug core edge. The receptacle core defines a generally elongated concentric-circular receptacle core edge. The receptacle core edge defines an air gap and the plug core defines an anchor configured to insert into the air gap. A coil is disposed around the receptacle core, and the coil, the plug core and the air gap define a magnetic circuit. The coil is electrically energized so as to form a magnetic field within an air gap, lock the anchor within the air gap and lock the plug contact set to the receptacle contact set accordingly.
Central vacuum cleaning system control subsystems
Central vacuum cleaning system comprising a vacuum source including: a motor within a motor housing and a motor control circuit connected to the motor; a handle to be held by an operator, a flexible hose for connecting the handle to a conduit system that is connected to the vacuum source; a user input interface at an input location on the handle for controlling an operation of the motor through the motor control circuit; and a communications system to transfer control signals from the user input interface to the motor control circuit wherein the communications system comprises an RF wireless transceiver in the handle, and an RF wireless transceiver at the motor control circuit.
Connector assembly and method for manufacturing a connector assembly
A connector assembly for connecting a first electrical component to a second electrical component includes a circuit board which is electrically conductively connectable to the first electrical component. A plug unit is electrically conductively couplable, at a plug end, to a mating plug unit and is disposed on a first side of the circuit board. A light source is disposed on a second side of the circuit board opposite the first side. A light guide has an in-coupling region and an out-coupling region, and a through-hole in which the plug end of the plug unit is at least partially disposed. The light guide also has a light injection opening in which the light source is at least partially disposed. The in-coupling region is disposed on a side wall of the light injection opening, and the out-coupling region surrounds the through-hole.
