In a connecting structure of a terminal configured to connect a female terminal inserted into a terminal accommodating chamber to the male terminal, the female terminal comprises a tubular part made of a metal plate and formed into which the male terminal is inserted, a plate shaped engaging piece continued from a side wall of the tubular part and folded back so that the engaging piece is located in a path into which the male terminal is inserted, a notch formed on an outer side surface of a folded back part of the engaging piece. The male terminal is provided with a cut-out part which can accommodate the engaging piece, and the engaging piece is accommodated in the cut-out part when the female terminal is inserted to a set position to lock a movement of the female terminal in a pulling out direction.

A reinforcing portion (28) includes circumferentially spaced ribs (27) on the rear surface of the flange (25) and aligned in a front-back direction. A metal bracket (60) is fit externally fit on the housing (20). The bracket (60) presses the rear surface of the reinforcing portion (28) over the entire circumference and is bolt-fastened to an outer surface of the case (1).

A waterproof structure of a socket connector includes a waterproof housing, a socket, a cable, and a waterproof plug. The waterproof housing includes a wiring opening. The inner surface of the waterproof housing incudes a ring step surface facing the wiring opening. The wiring opening is covered by an end cap. The socket is received in the waterproof housing. The cable is connected to the socket and passes the wiring opening. The waterproof plug wrapping the cable is arranged in the wiring opening to close the wiring opening. The waterproof plug has an inner and an outer end, the inner end faces the socket, and a longitudinal annular rib is arranged on the inner end. The end cover is fastened to the waterproof housing along the longitudinal direction of the waterproof plug to press the outer end to make the longitudinal ring rib press the ring step surface.

A Dry-Mate Connector System (DMCS) is capable of a direct and convenient connection/disconnection of standardized Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS)-compatible data communication cables and connectors with submersible electronic equipment for transmission of data/signals/power therebetween, and is suitable for indefinite submersion, as well as adaptable to full ocean depth. DMCS is equipped with sealing elements, a keying/alignment mechanism for proper alignment of COTS connectors for mating the portions, a locking mechanism to ensure the portions remain locked and pressure sealed, and a dummy plug for sealing the connector when not in use. Functional dummy plugs are contemplated to broaden the functionality.

A bulkhead connector comprises a connector housing, a nut member and a self-locking structure. The nut member is removably fitted to the connector housing to secure the bulkhead connector to a target plate body. An outer surface of the connector housing is formed with an outer thread, and an inner surface of the nut member is formed with an inner thread. The self-locking structure includes a groove formed in the outer surface of the connector housing, and an elastic locking element arranged on the nut member. Upon a thread fit between the inner thread of the nut member and the outer thread of the connector housing, at least a portion of the elastic locking element engages with the groove to form a self-locking of the thread fit.
