CONNECTORS FOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTION OF ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES TO ELECTRICAL NETWORKS
A connector for electrical connection of an appliance to a power cable may include: a rotating body associated with the cable; and an annular element configured to surround the body. When the annular element is coupled to the body, that coupling may determine the electrical connection between the annular element and body through electrical contacts, and the annular element and body may rotate relative to each other. The body may include first and second electrical contacts, which appear as discs of electrically conductive material. The discs may be superimposed and may be interspersed with a spacer of insulating material, also disc-shaped. The discs and disc-shaped spacer may be of equal radius. The annular element may include two jaws configured to close on the body, and third and fourth electrical contacts inside at least one of the two jaws configured to grip a respective disc using sliding electrical contact.
Surgical stapling instrument system
A surgical system can include an electric motor, a sensor and a microcontroller in signal communication with the electric motor and the sensor. In various instances, the microcontroller can adjust the velocity of a firing element when the sensor detects a change in current drawn by the electric motor that exceeds a threshold amount.
Electric connection device
An electrical connection device is described which comprises a container comprising at least two seats, each seat being configured for containing an electrical connection element comprising a first contact element sliding contact element and a second sliding contact element, each connectable to a respective electric cable, and further comprising a tubular element inserted inside the container so that they can be rotated one with respect to the other, being the first sliding contact element integrally connected to the container and the second sliding contact element integrally connected to the tubular element to make a sliding contact between the contact elements.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR A SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS
A connector for connecting a suction member to a surface cleaning apparatus, the connector comprising a tubular body having a distal end configured to receive and retain the suction member and a proximal end configured to receive an outlet of the apparatus. The tubular body is provided with an external rotatable sleeve member, the rotatable sleeve member is provided with at least one projection configured to engage a corresponding formation of the outlet of the apparatus and form a rotatable snap-fit connection between the connector and the outlet, and at least one electrical connection ring located about the proximal end of the connector configured to contact at least one corresponding electrical connector of the outlet to transmit electrical power from the apparatus to the suction member.

Slip ring brush having a galvanic multi-layer system
A slip ring arrangement comprises a brush with a first contact material on the surface, which rests on a slideway with a second contact material on the surface. The slideway further comprises a layer with a third contact material beneath the second contact material. In this case, the abrasion of the brush is lower than that of the second contact material in the case of a sliding contact between the brush and the second contact material. In the case of a sliding contact between the brush and third contact material, the abrasion of the brush is higher than that of third contact material. As a result, the second contact material of the slideway is degraded first, which corresponds to the normal service life of a slideway. Subsequently, the brush is worn off relative to the third contact material, by means of which a further considerable extension in the service life is achieved.

Current diverter ring
The current diverter rings and bearing isolators serve to dissipate an electrical charge from a rotating piece of equipment to ground, such as from a motor shaft to a motor housing. One embodiment of the current diverter is substantially arc shaped with a plurality of radial channels extending there through. A conductive assembly may be positioned in each radial channel such that a contact portion of the conductive assembly is positioned adjacent a shaft passing through the center of the current diverter ring. The arc-shaped body may be particularly useful during installation over certain existing shafts.
