SHAFT CURRENT COLLECTOR AND SHAFT ASSEMBLY
A shaft current collector for a shaft assembly has a shaft and a machine part surrounding the shaft. The shaft current collector has an electrically conductive ring for arrangement on the shaft so as to electrically contact the same. The ring has an engagement recess which is arranged so as to extend axially relative to the central axis of the ring. A blocking element can be secured on the machine part relative to the shaft. When the shaft current collector is in the installed state, the blocking element engages into the engagement recess of the ring such that, as the shaft rotates, a rotation of the ring is restricted by the blocking element while the ring is electrically conductively contacted by the blocking element. A shaft assembly may have such a shaft current collector.
POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM
A power supply system that is superior to existing systems. The power supply system supplies, via a shaft that is supported by a first bearing and a second bearing, power to a prescribed load from an alternating current power source, the power supply system making it possible to transmit power mutually between a body and an outer conductor of a rotating shaft via a first coupling capacitor that is composed of a sliding bearing outer ring and sliding interface of the first bearing, and the outer conductor of the rotating shaft, and also making it possible to transmit power mutually between a connecting conductive wire and an inner conductor of the rotating shaft via a second coupling capacitor that is composed of the sliding bearing outer ring, sliding interface, and sliding bearing inner ring of the second bearing.
Grounding rope for a shaft grounding apparatus of a dynamo-electric machine
A grounding rope assembly for electrically grounding a rotatable conductive shaft of a dynamo-electric machine. The assembly includes a grounding rope member including a plurality of conductive wires extending along the length of the grounding rope member and one or more discrete fixation points intermediate the first and second ends of the grounding rope member. Two or more of the plurality of conductive wires are affixed together at each of the discrete fixation points.
Electric motor fan cover, end bell interface, and radially mounted brush holder
A system for mitigating induced currents in an electric motor having a shaft includes: a brush holder having a handle end, the brush holder having: a brush holder handle at the handle end; and a shaft grounding brush attached to the brush holder handle, the shaft grounding brush including a contact at a contact end of the brush holder, the contact end being opposite the handle end; and an end bell of the electric motor, the end bell receiving the contact end of the brush holder such that the contact of the shaft grounding brush contacts the shaft.

Rotor Comprising a Two-Part Bearing Seat
An assembly for a rotor of an electrically excited electric machine includes a rotor shaft, a slip ring, and two bearing points. The rotor shaft is fixedly connectable to a rotor core of the rotor to thereby conjointly rotate. The slip ring module has at least one slip ring configured to energize rotor windings of the rotor. The two bearing points are arranged at axial ends of the rotor shaft with one annular bearing seat of one bearing of the rotor. One of the bearing points is of two-part configuration. The two part bearing points with the part bearing seats are connected in a positively locking and non-positive manner with configuration of the bearing point with the annular bearing seat.
