Rotating socket

A rotating socket comprises a wiring assembly, a rotating assembly, an elastic member, a locking mechanism, and a housing. The wiring assembly comprises a fixing base and lugs, the fixing base comprises a substrate and a side wall. The rotating assembly comprises a panel, a rotating base, conductive tabs and conductive rings. The locking mechanism controlling whether the rotating base is separated from the fixing base. When the locking mechanism is in a locked state, the rotating base compresses the elastic member, and one end of the rotating base away from the panel abuts against the substrate and is limited by the side wall; when the locking mechanism is in a unlocked state, the rotating base is separated from the fixed base by resilient force of the elastic member and free to be rotated.

SLIP RING MODULE

A method for manufacturing a slipring module comprising a plurality of sliding tracks and an insulating body. The method includes: making a monolithic sliding track component preferably by a 3D printing process. The monolithic sliding track component comprises a plurality of sliding tracks, multiple connector for electrically connecting the sliding tracks, and at least one strut for mechanically interconnecting the sliding tracks and the connector to form a monolithic sliding track component; inserting the monolithic sliding track component into a mold; filling the mold with an insulating material such as a plastic material, and curing the plastic material; removing the molded product forming a slipring module from the mold, and removing the at least one strut from the slipring module.

MOTOR

The present invention provides a motor comprising: a rotary shaft; a rotor including a hole in which the rotary shaft is disposed; a stator disposed on the outer side of the rotor; and a housing for accommodating the rotor and the stator, and further comprising a rectifier having a hole in which the rotary shaft is disposed, wherein the housing includes a cover plate, the cover plate includes a brush coming into contact with the rectifier, and the front surface of the brush includes a curved part coming into contact with the rectifier, and a cutting part formed to be bent from the curved part such that the cutting part does not come into contact with the rectifier, thereby providing an advantageous effect of inhibiting the worn foreign material of the brush from being generated on a contact portion between the brush and the rectifier during the initial driving of the motor.

System and method for monitoring the status of one or more components of an electrical machine

A system for monitoring the wear state of a carbon brush of a brush holder assembly in which the length of the carbon brush is diminished from an initial length as an end of the carbon brush wears away during use. The system includes a wear state monitor, including a sensor, coupled to the carbon brush. The wear state monitor is configured to rotate as the length of the carbon brush diminishes. The sensor is configured to measure an angular displacement of the wear state monitor as the wear state monitor rotates. The measured angular displacement of the wear state monitor correlates to an amount of diminution in the length of the carbon brush.

Rotatable socket device and socket module thereof

A socket module of a rotatable socket device includes a first conductor, a second conductor, an insulator that is arranged to separate the first conductor from the second conductor, and a plurality of terminal sets. The first conductor includes a first base and a plurality of central rods connected to the first base. The second conductor includes a second base and a plurality of tubes connected to the second base. The tubes are respectively sleeved around the central rods. Each of the central rods and the corresponding tube are separated from each other by the insulator. The terminal sets are respectively rotatable along the central rods within a range of 360 degrees. Each of the terminal sets includes a first terminal rotatably contacting the corresponding central rod and a second terminal rotatably contacting the tube that is sleeved around the corresponding central rod.

Air bearing for use as seal

In order to effect a seal a porous material which comprises one side of two opposing surfaces is used to restrict and evenly distribute externally pressurized gas, liquid, steam, etc. between the two surfaces, exerting a force which is opposite the forces from pressure differences or springs trying to close the two faces together and so may create a non-contact seal that is more stable and reliable than hydrodynamic seals currently in use. A non-contact bearing is also disclosed having opposing surfaces with relative motion and one surface issuing higher than ambient pressure through a porous restriction, wherein the porous restriction is part of a monolithic porous body, or a porous layer, attached to lands containing a labyrinth, the porous restriction and lands configured to not distort more than 10% of a gap created from differential pressure between each side of the porous restriction.

Starter-generator brush

A brush for a starter-generator includes a first carbon block, a second carbon block, a terminal lug, and a plurality of brush leads. Each carbon block has an outboard edge and an inboard edge. Each carbon block includes a front carbon wafer and a rear carbon wafer. Front brush leads connect the terminal lug with the front carbon wafers of the respective carbon blocks adjacent the inboard edges of the respective carbon blocks. Rear brush leads connect the terminal lug with the rear carbon wafers of the respective carbon blocks adjacent the outboard edge of the respective carbon blocks.
