A universal motor includes a commutator brush with a cavity for sheltering a constant force spring from a wire shunt. In some examples, the cavity can be formed by milling a blind hole into the brush such that an axial centerline of the hole is perpendicular to the brush's length. The cavity is near the back end of the brush, at the end farthest away from the commutator, but is also slightly forward to leave a rear portion of the brush to serve as a barrier between the wire shunt and the spring. The diameter of the cavity is slightly larger than the width of the brush, so the cavity creates a slot in the side of the brush. The slot allows part of the spring to reach out beyond the cavity to where the spring can hook onto a front edge of a stationary sleeve that supports the brush.

Provided is a brush assembly for transferring lightning current between a first structure and a second structure, which brush assembly includes a holder realized for mounting to one of the two structures; a recess formed in the holder, which recess is shaped to accommodate a brush and to expose a first brush face; and a first displacement means arranged to move the first exposed brush face against a surface of the first structure; and wherein the recess is shaped to also expose a second brush face, and the brush assembly further includes a second displacement means arranged to move the second exposed brush face against a surface of the second structure. Further provided is a lightning protection circuit of a wind turbine; and a wind turbine.

Brush holder apparatus having brush wear indicator

A brush holder apparatus has a stationary support member having two opposing grooves, a fork electrical connector, and a conductive bar configured to pass through a portion of a main body of the stationary support member. The conductive bar provides electrical conductivity with a collector mount and the fork electrical connector. A brush holder is configured to be releasably affixed to the stationary support member, and has two rails configured to slide along the grooves. The brush holder has a knife electrical connector configured to mate with the fork electrical connector. A brush spring is clipped on the brush holder, and the brush spring presses a brush against a collector of a dynamoelectric machine. A brush lead is connected to the brush and a brush terminal. The brush lead is an elongate conductive member, and a brush wear indicator is disposed over the brush lead.

A method for measuring a state of wear of a consumable friction element, a measuring device and a friction element, in particular a brush or the like. The measuring device includes a sensing device having a sensor. A magnetic field can be produced by means of the sensor, and the friction element can be moved in the magnetic field relative to the sensor. The measuring device comprises an indicator that can be attached to the friction element. The indicator comprises a ferromagnetic, antiferromagnetic and/or ferrimagnetic substance, and a change in the magnetic field can be detected by means of the sensing device as a result of a change in the position of the indicator relative to the sensor.

The invention relates mainly to a brush cage (13) for a brush holder (10) of an electric motor comprising:two lateral walls (26) and a connecting wall (28) connecting the two lateral walls (26),in which cage at least one of the lateral walls (26) has an opening (43) for the passage of a spring arm,the lateral wall (26) comprising the opening (43) having a length (L0) measured between a first end (51) intended to be furthest from a commutator and a second end (52) intended to be closest to the commutator, wherein the opening (43) comprises at least a first portion (431) between the two ends (51, 52) which widens out towards the second end (52).

Probe holding table and medical device

The disclosure provides a probe holding table and a medical equipment. The probe holding table comprises a faceplate and a fixing plate for supporting the faceplate. The faceplate is rotatably connected to the fixing plate. A plurality of probe placement units for installing probes are disposed on the faceplate, and each of the probe placement units is in electrical communication with an external power. The user may turn the faceplate to take the probes on the corresponding position, in particular, when more probes need to be used, the structure of the probe holding table is simpler than the normal fixed table, and easier to take the probes. Therefore, the medical equipment adopted the above probe holding table provides with the above advantages.
