MAGAZINE FOR PROCESSING WIRE END FERRULES AND HAND TOOL FOR PRESSING WIRE END FERRULES

A magazine for processing wire end ferrules, which are connected to one another via connection pieces to form a wire end ferrule strip, having a housing with at least one housing base and an inlet opening for introducing the wire end ferrule strip. A transport wheel is rotatably mounted in the housing and has multiple recesses for receiving individual wire end ferrules of a wire end ferrule strip, neighboring recesses separated from one another by a rim. An opening is formed in the housing base and the wire end ferrules can be successively brought into an assembly position via a rotation of the transport wheel to a position in which a wire end ferrule is arranged above the opening and a connection piece between the wire end ferrule and the neighboring wire end ferrule is at least partially cut through by the rim of the corresponding recess.

The crimping tool also includes a working head coupled to the housing opposite the first and second handles. The working head includes an upper wall, an end wall, and a gap defined between the upper wall and the end wall. The crimping tool also includes a punch assembly slidable along the working head toward the end wall in response to movement of the second handle toward the first handle. The punch assembly is visible through the gap as the punch assembly slides toward the end wall.

Long reach cable cutting tool including dual action hydraulic piston assembly and releasable connections

A long reach cable cutting tool includes a handle, a motor electrically connectable to a battery, a trigger electrically connected to the motor to provide power from the battery to the motor when the trigger is activated, a pump connected to the motor, the pump is activated to displace a first fluid, a hydraulic actuating system connected to the hydraulic pump, the hydraulic actuating system is movable by the displacement of the first fluid to displace a second fluid, a pole having a first end and a second end, the pole connected to the handle at the first end, and a tool head connected to the pole at the second end, the tool head including a tool head hydraulic actuator hydraulically connected to the hydraulic actuating system, the tool head hydraulic actuator is movable by the displacement of the second fluid to cause relative movement of the actuator with respect to the tool head.

DUAL ACTION HYDRAULIC PISTON ASSEMBLY

A dual action hydraulic piston assembly including a cylinder having first and second inlet ports on a first end and an outlet port on a second end, a conduit connected to the first inlet port and extending into the cylinder, an inner ram slidable along an outer surface of the conduit, and an outer ram slidable between the inner ram and the cylinder. The inner and outer rams are configured to move together toward the second end of the cylinder in response to a fluid being displaced via the first inlet port into the conduit, which displaces a second fluid through the outlet port at a first flow rate. The outer ram is configured to move toward the second end of the cylinder in response to a fluid being displaced via the second inlet port, which displaces the second fluid through the outlet port at a second flow rate.

A cable cutter and crimper is provided including an anvil having an anvil cutting edge. A blade is pivotally coupled to the anvil and includes a blade cutting edge. A clevis is coupled to the anvil and includes arms extending on opposite sides of an actuator screw. A pivot nut is threadably coupled to the actuator screw and pivotally coupled to the blade. Rotation of the actuator screw in a first rotational direction causes the pivot nut to translate along the actuator screw in a first translation direction, resulting in the blade cutting edge moving away from the anvil cutting edge. Rotation of the actuator screw in a second rotational direction causes the pivot nut to translate along the actuator screw in a second translation direction, resulting in the blade pivoting relative to the anvil to move the blade cutting edge toward the anvil cutting edge.
