REMOTELY ACTIVATED PORTABLE HAND TOOL
The present disclosure provides hand-held, battery-powered tools for performing operations such as crimping and cutting, and having a remote monitoring and control systems. A frame of the tool supports a working head, a battery, a motor connected to the battery, a controller and a camera.
ELECTRIC TOOL
An electric tool comprises a main body having an electric motor, a feed screw, a slide part, a current sensor, a lower limit switch, and a control part, and a tool head. The slide part is moved backward to a position where a work can be machined, and then the slide part is moved forward to a position where the machined work can be removed. The control part performs a subsequent continuous process when a detection value of the current sensor exceeds a first current value and does not exceed a second current value at a point in time when the lower limit switch is activated, and performs an abnormality process when the second current value is exceeded at the point in time when the lower limit switch is activated.
Programmable memory positioner and calibration system for a crimp tool and related methods
A crimp tool calibration system for crimping a prepared wire into a corresponding contact wire barrel includes a computer, a positioner having a memory chip storing positioner data, and a tool frame. The tool frame includes a head having a receiving port therethrough, and configured for the positioner to be removably engaged with the receiving port during a crimping operation. The tool frame also includes a plurality of crimping dies positioned around a periphery of the receiving port, an adjustment device to adjust a crimp depth, and a positioner interface coupled to the tool frame. The positioner interface includes a tool memory for storing tool data, a reader, and a transmitter, where the reader is configured to read the positioner data stored on the memory chip or the positioner, and the transmitter is configured to transmit the positioner data and the tool data to the computer.
HYDRAULIC POWER TOOL
A working head for a hydraulic power tool. The working head includes a head frame and a first moveable die head configured to move along the working head frame. The first moveable die head is configured to receive a first moveable die comprising a first body length and a second die head is adapted to receive a second die comprising a second body length. At least one of the moveable die or the stationary die comprises an elongated die.
CRIMP TOOL FORCE MONITORING DEVICE
A crimp tool includes a frame, a lead screw and a nut assembly connected to the lead screw. A spring member is connected to the frame and movable with rotation of the lead screw. A first transducer is connected to the nut assembly to measure a first force applied on the nut assembly. A second transducer is connected to the spring member to measure a second force applied thereon by the spring member.
DIELESS CRIMPING TOOL
A crimping tool with a housing, a motor, a switch connected to the motor for activating the motor, a pump driven by the motor, a piston driven by the pump, an indenter operably connected to the piston, and a tool head connected to the housing, wherein a workpiece can be disposed between the tool head and the indenter. A current sensor is connected to the motor for sensing current flowing through the motor. A processor receives current data from the current sensor, the processor analyzing the current data to determine completion of a crimping operation and/or an error condition. A display connected to the processor can indicate completion of a crimping operation and/or an error condition.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EVALUATING CRIMP APPLICATIONS
Systems and methods for evaluating a crimping application. A power tool includes a pair of jaws configured to crimp a workpiece, a piston cylinder configured to actuate at least one of the pair of jaws, and a pressure sensor configured to provide pressure signals associated with a crimping application. The power tool also includes an electronic processor connected to the pressure sensor. The electronic processor is configured to monitor, while performing the crimping application, a pressure applied by the piston cylinder, construct a pressure curve indicative of a change in the pressure applied during the crimping application, process the pressure curve into a vector indicative of one or more features, evaluate the crimping application based on the vector, and provide an output indicative of the evaluation.
PORTABLE DIELESS HAND HELD POWER TOOLS
Portable, hand held, battery operated, dieless, hydraulic crimping tools are provided with a working head and a tool frame. The working head has a head frame with an open access to a working area of the working head. The open access may be in the form of a C-shape. The working head has a nest to receive a crimping member. An indentor is attached to a piston within the tool frame. The piston moves the indentor between a home position adjacent the tool frame and an indenting position where the indentor impacts the crimping member.
Pressing pliers
Pressing jaws are opposingly arranged in pressing pliers. Each pressing jaw has ribs with a longitudinal extension which is transverse to an entry direction of the ribs into entry openings of the other pressing jaw. A pressing mouth has a pressing opening with an opening contour formed by free marginal edges of the ribs. The ribs form an intersection of the opening contour that moves in the direction of the longitudinal extension during a pressing operation. A supplemental pressing part forms part of the opening contour and is arranged so as to cover several ribs and overlap the intersection. A method of use is also provided.
Remotely activated portable hand tool
The present disclosure provides hand-held, battery-powered tools for performing operations such as crimping and cutting, and having a remote monitoring and control systems. A frame of the tool supports a working head, a battery, a motor connected to the battery, a controller and a camera.
