4-WAY INDENT TOOL
A 4-way indent tool includes a indenter actuator cam arm being movable between an unactuated position and an actuated position to actuate four indenters to crimp a terminal. The 4-way indent tool includes a drive assembly movable along the drive screw between a retracted position and an advanced position. The drive assembly has a drive nut on a drive screw and a coupler operably coupled between the drive nut and the indenter actuator cam arm. The coupler moves the indenter actuator cam arm. The coupler has a spring loaded coupling between the drive nut and the indenter actuator cam arm compressed as the coupler is moved between the retracted position and the advanced position.
Power tool
A hydraulic tool includes a tool head and a moveable piston coupled to the tool head. The hydraulic tool head includes a plurality of jaws, which are operable to open and close for performing work on a workpiece. The hydraulic tool also includes a motor operable to drive the moveable piston to close the plurality of jaws to a closed position at which the work on the workpiece is completed. The hydraulic tool further includes a position sensor configured to detect when the plurality of jaws are at the closed position and responsively generate a sensor signal indicating that the plurality of jaws are at the closed position. Additionally, the hydraulic tool includes a controller configured to receive the sensor signal from the position sensor. The controller is configured to operate the motor based on the sensor signal that the controller receives from the position sensor.
PORTABLE DIELESS HAND HELD POWER TOOLS
Portable, hand held, battery operated, dieless, hydraulic crimping tools are provided with a working head and a tool frame. The working head has a head frame with an open access to a working area of the working head. The open access may be in the form of a C-shape. The working head has a nest to receive a crimping member. An indentor is attached to a piston within the tool frame. The piston moves the indentor between a home position adjacent the tool frame and an indenting position where the indentor impacts the crimping member.
Tool Head for a Hydraulic Power Tool
Embodiments of the disclosure provide a tool head for a hydraulic tool. The tool head includes a variety of lightweight, high-strength materials, such as titanium, titanium alloys, and carbon fibers. The tool head can be configured as a cutting, crimping, or pressing tool head.
Crimping assembly, tool and die design
A crimping tool uses a die set with a single point indenter profile to allow of a wide range of electrical connectors and conductors without changing die sets and/or crimping tools. This avoids the need to purchase a separate crimping tool. A die set with an indenter feature in two configurations encompasses the required range of conductors in existing crimping tools, consisting of two pyramid indenter dies and one common wedge die. One advantage of this invention is it allows the strength and versatility of a die set with a single-point indenter without the purchase of a separate crimping tool. The dies of this invention do not require switching out for different sized lugs, thus reducing misplacement and loss. The die halves replace numerous standard U-dies, making the dies of this invention more appealing while offer enhanced pullout strength of connections resulting from this invention.
Piston device for actuating a tool
Devices and methods for actuating a tool and methods for making such devices are provided. In one example, the device includes a piston subassembly. The piston subassembly includes a cylinder having a cavity, a head disposed in the cavity to move between first and second positions, and a rod coupled to the head and extending away from the second position. A holding subassembly is coupled to the piston subassembly. The holding subassembly includes a first holding member coupled to the rod and configured to hold a first leg of the tool and a second holding member spaced apart from the first holding member. The second holding member is configured to hold the second leg of the tool. When the head moves from the first position towards the second position, the rod moves the first holding member towards the second holding member.
REPOSITIONABLE TOOL DIE
Hydraulic crimp tools, working heads for hydraulic crimp tools and die sets for crimping wire connectors onto electrical conductor wires using such hydraulic crimp tools are provided. The die sets include identical dies that can be repositioned on the working head to mechanically securing wire connectors to an electrical conductor wire or a bundle of electrical conductor wires from different orientations.
Power Tool
A power tool includes a tool head, a frame that rotationally couples with the tool head, a piston, and a motor that is operable to drive the piston to perform an operation on a workpiece. The power tool also includes a sensor that senses movement of the piston to provide sensor information indicative of the movement of the piston. The power tool further includes a controller that receives the sensor information from the sensor. The controller operates the motor to perform work on the workpiece until the sensor determines the piston has moved a target distance.
ELECTRIC TOOL
An electric tool is configured to crimp the work with constant force. The electric tool includes a body having an electric motor, a feed screw, a slide part, and a control part; and a tool head having a first jaw part and a second jaw part that are connected to the body, and are pivotably connected to each other. The slide part is provided with a first roller and a second roller.
