Crimp quality monitoring method and system for use with a hydraulic crimping apparatus
A method and system of monitoring crimp quality of a crimp terminal in a hydraulic crimping apparatus. The method includes: determining a pressure of a hydraulic fluid supplied to a hydraulic crimping head of the hydraulic crimping apparatus; determining a flow of the hydraulic fluid supplied to the hydraulic crimping head of the hydraulic crimping apparatus; and analyzing the pressure and the flow of the hydraulic fluid to determine if a crimp is defective or not defective.

The housing includes a recess and an input device. The accessory is configured to be received by the recess. The accessory includes an identifier. The electronic processor is connected to the input device. The electronic processor is configured to receive a first signal from the identifier, determine an accessory type based on the first signal, receive a second signal from the input device, initiate an action based on the second signal, determine an outer diameter of the workpiece, calculate a force applied by the power tool, determine a distance traveled by the accessory during the action, and determine a status of the action based on the force applied to the workpiece and the distance.
Wire with terminal having a core crimping portion with enlarged diameter portion and a recess in the enlarged diameter portion
A wire with terminal (10) includes at least one wire (11) having a core (13) and a terminal (12) connected to the wire (11). The terminal (12) includes a wire barrel (16) to be caulked and crimped to the core (13). At least one end part of the wire barrel (16) in an extension direction of the wire (11) is provided with an enlarged diameter portion (20) enlarged in diameter toward the one end part. At least one recess (24E) is provided at a position corresponding to the enlarged diameter portion (20) and in a region configured to come into contact with the core (13) in a placing surface (23) of the wire barrel (16) where the core (13) is arranged.
MANUAL PLIERS TOOL
The invention relates to a manually operated pliers tool , which may especially be crimping pliers. According to the invention, the pliers tool is equipped with an electronics construction unit. The electronics construction unit is realized separately from a mechanical pliers part and arranged in a pliers head part of the mechanical pliers part, which is arranged between hand levers and pliers jaws. The electronics construction unit is attached to this pliers head part. The electronics construction unit extends at least on two opposite sides of the pliers head part, sandwiching the pliers head part, and comprises a connector, where the connector extends through or around the pliers head part between the two opposite sides of the pliers head part.
Hydrodynamic compression or cutting tool
A hydrodynamic compression tool comprises an electrical motor, which can be powered by a control circuit, a hydraulic pump which can be actuated by the motor so as to increase the pressure of a hydraulic liquid acting on an actuating piston, two jaws, which can be mutually moved by the actuating piston between an open position and a closed position for carrying out the compression or the cut, an actuating button, which acts on a switch of the control circuit to actuate the motor, a return device which returns the jaws to the open position by a return of the hydraulic fluid from the actuating piston towards the hydraulic pump through a return valve, and a mechanism for delaying the opening of the return valve via the return device, so as to allow verification of the position of the jaws before the return of the jaws to the open position.
PROGRAMMABLE MEMORY POSITIONER AND CALIBRATION SYSTEM FOR A CRIMP TOOL AND RELATED METHODS
A crimp tool calibration system for crimping a prepared wire into a corresponding contact wire barrel includes a computer, a positioner having a memory chip storing positioner data, and a tool frame. The tool frame includes a head having a receiving port therethrough, and configured for the positioner to be removably engaged with the receiving port during a crimping operation. The tool frame also includes a plurality of crimping dies positioned around a periphery of the receiving port, an adjustment device to adjust a crimp depth, and a positioner interface coupled to the tool frame. The positioner interface includes a tool memory for storing tool data, a reader, and a transmitter, where the reader is configured to read the positioner data stored on the memory chip of the positioner, and the transmitter is configured to transmit the positioner data and the tool data to the computer.
CRIMPING TOOL
A crimping tool including a main body, a force-applying device, and at least two crimping jaws for crimping a crimping connection to a conductor. The at least two crimping jaws are moveable relative to the main body by the force-applying device, and a compensating device which allows adoption of at least three processing positions of the at least two crimping jaws depending on a position of the force-applying device relative to the compensating device. A force storage means is arranged on the main body and allows, in a processing position of the at least two crimping jaws, in particular in which substantially no force can be transmitted to the at least two crimping jaws by the force-applying device, a force-locking connection to be made between the crimping connection and the at least two crimping jaws by a movement of the at least two crimping jaws relative to the main body.
