SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING WIRE BUNDLES
A wire processing system includes a tray having at least one tray surface configured to sequentially receive a first wire and a second wire from a wire feed system of a wire processing machine. The tray surface has a surface feature configured to provide a wire-to-surface coefficient of friction between the tray surface and the first wire higher than a wire-to-wire coefficient of friction between the first wire and the second wire laying on top of the first wire. The wire-to-surface coefficient of friction reduces movement of at least a portion of the first wire relative to the tray surface during movement of the second wire relative to the first wire.
Wire feeding and attaching system for camera lens suspensions
A wire feeding and bonding tool and method for attaching wires to a component having first and second spaced-apart wire attach structures. Wire from a supply is fed through a capillary having at least a linear end portion with a feed opening. The capillary is positioned with respect to the component to locate a first portion of the wire extending from the feed opening adjacent to the first wire attach structure, and the wire is attached to the first attach structure. The capillary is moved with respect to the component along a wire feed path to feed the wire from the first wire attach structure to the second wire attach structure and to locate a second portion of the wire extending from the feed opening adjacent to the second attach structure. The wire is attached to the second wire attach structure, and cut from the supply.

Electrical terminal crimping device which prevents removal of defective crimp
A wire termination apparatus for terminating an electrical terminal to a wire or cable include an upper tooling member which is movable between an open position and a closed position. A lower tooling member is attached to a base member of a frame of the wire termination apparatus. A process analyzer determines if a crimped terminal is properly crimped to a wire or cable. If the process analyzer determines that the terminal has not been properly crimped to the wire cable, the removal of the defectively crimped terminal and wire or cable from the wire termination apparatus is prevented until a code or key is entered.
CONNECTOR INSERT DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC SWITCHING OF CONNECTOR FIXTURES
A connector insert device for automatic switching of connector fixture includes terminal fixing portions clipping a wire, a wire storage portion storing groups of wires, transferring portions configured to store the wire clipped by the terminal fixing portion in the wire storage portion through a conveying portion, a connector fixing portion storing connectors, and an insert portion inserting the groups of wires in the wire storage portion into the connector fixing portion through the conveying portion. Each terminal fixing portion includes a terminal fixing base, a terminal clipping base, and a terminal gripper. The terminal clipping base is rotatably connected with the terminal fixing base through a terminal connecting shaft. The terminal gripper is connected with the terminal clipping base. The terminal fixing portion rotates the wire to a predetermined angle. The transferring portions clip the wire and places the wire in the wire storage portion.
Terminal crimping machine having a wire clamp
A terminal crimping machine includes a termination tool having crimp tooling defining a crimping zone that receives the terminal and the wire. The crimp tooling is actuated during a crimp stroke to crimp the terminal to the wire. The terminal crimping machine includes a wire clamp holding the wire near the crimping zone. The wire clamp releases the wire prior to completion of the crimp to allow extrusion of the wire during the crimping process. Optionally, the wire clamp may release the wire prior to bottom dead center of the crimp stroke. The wire clamp may release the wire after the terminal partially retains the wire.
