IGNITION COIL

This ignition coil includes: a bar-shaped resistor electrically connected to a terminal of a coil assembly via a relay; a case for storing these; and a filler filling gaps inside the case. The case includes a body, a cylindrical output portion protruding from the body, and an annular holding portion protruding inward from an inner circumferential surface of the output portion and formed integrally with the output portion. A part of the resistor is inserted into the holding portion, and thus a first internal area located on the body side with respect to the holding portion and shut off from outside is formed in an internal area of the output portion. The filler fills the first internal area.

An ignition accelerator is used in conjunction with an igniter. The ignition accelerator includes a magnetic shielding conductive element and a magnetic element. The magnetic shielding conductive element has a first disposing portion and a second disposing portion. One end of the igniter is disposed inside the first disposing portion and electrically connected with the magnetic shielding conductive element. The magnetic element is disposed at the second disposing portion, and has a north-seeking pole and a south-seeking pole. The north-seeking pole is located at one side of the magnetic element near the igniter. The south-seeking pole is located at another side of the magnetic element away from the igniter. The magnetic shielding conductive element shields a magnetic force of the magnetic element in a direction toward the igniter. The invention has higher ignition efficiency.

Corona ignition device

A corona ignition device is described, with a central electrode, an insulator, in which the central electrode sits, a coil, which is connected to the central electrode, a metal housing, which holds the insulator and surrounds the coil, and a cover, which closes the metal housing at its end facing away from the insulator. According to this disclosure, provision is made for a spring arranged between the cover and the coil. In another aspect, a shield is provided that surrounds the housing and comprises several shell elements which each surround a section of the circumference of the coil.

Corona ignition device

A corona ignition device is described, with a central electrode, an insulator, in which the central electrode sits, a coil, which is connected to the central electrode, a metal housing, which holds the insulator and surrounds the coil, and a cover, which closes the metal housing at its end facing away from the insulator. According to this disclosure, provision is made for a spring arranged between the cover and the coil. In another aspect, a shield is provided that surrounds the housing and comprises several shell elements which each surround a section of the circumference of the coil.

The high-voltage terminal is of a hollow cylindrical shape with a bottom and an upper opening. The closing member has an outer peripheral surface of the resinous cylinder press-fit in the high-voltage tower. This structure minimizes pressure exerted on the resistor and the high-voltage tower to secure a desired degree of durability of the resistor and the high-voltage tower.
