ELECTRICAL PANEL ADAPTER PROVIDING PASS THROUGH ACCESS TO ELECTRICAL SIGNALS WITHIN AN ENCLOSURE
An electrical panel adapter for an enclosure that is formed of at least one panel includes a main unit having a front portion and a rear portion. The rear portion is positioned inside the enclosure and includes a first plurality of electrical connections adapted to connect to electrical wires and/or equipment located inside the enclosure. The front portion extends through an aperture in the at least one panel and includes a second plurality of electrical connections adapted to connect to one or more electrical devices located outside the enclosure for measurement of both voltage and current inside the enclosure. The second plurality of electrical connections are electrically coupled to the first plurality of electrical connections. The electrical panel adapter enables electrical devices outside the enclosure to be electrically coupled to the electrical wires and/or equipment inside the enclosure without requiring the enclosure to be opened.
Operator-safe electrical system enclosure
Aspects herein are directed to an electrical system enclosure. The electrical system enclosure can include an electrical housing unit that includes one or more electrical components. The electrical system enclosure can further include a receptacle coupled to an outside surface associated with the electrical housing unit. The receptacle may be configured to engage a connector component of a cable. The electrical system enclosure can further include a contactor within the electrical housing unit. The contactor may be configured to energize based at least in part on the receptacle engaging the connector component. The electrical system enclosure may include an energy supply component configured to cause energy to be transmitted through the receptacle and the cable to a device outside of the electrical housing unit based on the contactor energizing.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND LOAD CENTER INCLUDING THE SAME
An electronic device includes a housing defining an exterior shape of the electronic device, a processor, a power supply structured to receive line power and to convert the line power for use by the electronic device, a storage unit structured to store data, and a number of data interfaces structured to receive a data connection. The electronic device has a particular form factor that is compatible with positions in a circuit breaker receiving area of a load center. The electronic device is structured to provide the functionality of at least one of a set-top box, a network data interface, a telephone base station, a security system hub and a home controller.
Electrically insulative case including frame having plurality of possible orientations
An electrically insulative case for an electrical device includes a housing defining an interior space. The electrically insulative case also includes a frame operatively coupleable to the housing in a plurality of orientations. The frame defines at least one opening that provides access to the electrical device. An inner sidewall of the frame extends into the interior space. The electrically insulative case further includes a restrictor coupleable to the electrical device such that the restrictor extends adjacent to the frame. The restrictor is arranged to inhibit objects from moving from an exterior of said housing into the interior space.
Energy management apparatus to upgrade and control an existing circuit breaker panel
The present invention is a system with embedded functionality allowing automated monitoring and controlling of energy consumption, including hardware installed in addition to an existing circuit breaker panel. A preferred embodiment comprises a retrofitting apparatus that can be connected to an existing circuit breaker panel. The apparatus can be detachably connected to circuit breakers or a circuit breaker panel. The apparatus and related method allow control of electrical loads on a premises.
COMMUNICATIONS INTERFACE SYSTEM FOR LANDSCAPE CONTROL SYSTEMS
A communications interface system includes a housing and one or more removable components. The removable components can include one or more removable communications module configured to facilitate communication between the interface system and one or more other communications or control systems. A facepack can be removably coupled with the housing. The facepack can include one or more displays and/or user input structures.
ELECTRICALLY INSULATIVE CASE INLUDING FRAME HAVING PLURALITY OF POSSIBLE ORIENTATIONS
MOUNTING FOOT FOR ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURE AND ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURE INCLUDING THE SAME
An electrical enclosure for an electrical device or instrument includes an enclosure body defining an interior that receives the electrical device or instrument, the enclosure body including a back wall. A mounting foot is disposed outside the enclosure body and attached to the back wall. The mounting foot includes a generally planar body defining a mounting fastener opening that receives a fastener to secure the mounting foot to a wall or other support structure. A panel fastener is attached to and extends forward from the mounting foot, through the back wall, and into the interior of the enclosure body. The panel fastener is used to secure an internal panel to the enclosure body within the interior of the enclosure body.
High strength door systems suitable for load centers and/or meter breakers
Enclosures for an electrical apparatus include a housing comprising a back and first and second spaced apart sidewalls extending outwardly from the back and providing an interior space and a door pivotably attached to the housing, the door having a primary body with a bottom having a bottom flange and first and second laterally spaced apart side flanges. The bottom flange and the side flanges have a folded inwardly extending edge joining first and second parallel wall segments that are orthogonal to the primary body of the door. The enclosure can also include at least one slot extending through the first and second parallel wall segments of the bottom flange and/or a retention bracket attached to an inner surface of the door that engages the housing.
Bucket assemblies with electrically grounded front panels for motor control centers and related motor control centers
Motor control centers have units or bucket assemblies with a spring-loaded front panel attached to a housing of the unit by a laterally extending metallic shaft that allows the front panel to pivot open about a long axis of the shaft. When closed, the bottom of the front panel slidably receives and is in abutting contact with the shaft which provides an electrical ground.
