ELECTRICAL DOCKING STATION
20220216727 · 2022-07-07 ·

Systems and apparatuses for access-controlled electrical docking stations that automatically switch power to an electrical system between generator power and utility power are disclosed herein. An illustrative electrical docking station can include a cabinet that houses a circuit breaker, a generator interface to connect generators to the electrical docking station, an Automatic Transfer Switch, and a power supply. The power supply can supply converted DC power and protection to different accessories for the electrical docking station including an alarm, a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism can be configured to lock a door to the generator connectors in a closed position when the ATS is energized by a generator and to not lock the door when the door is in an open position. In some such circumstances, the alarm can shine green or provide an audible alarm and shine red respectively.

COVER EXTENSION FOR ELECTRICAL PANEL
20220271514 · 2022-08-25 ·

A cover extension can be installed above or below a wall-mounted electrical panel (e.g., a circuit breaker panel) to cover an opening in the wall immediately above or below the panel. The cover extension includes a panel member, a bottom flange, and two top couplings and stop members. The flange extends downwards from the panel member bottom and is offset from the panel member so that it can fit behind the panel cover of the electrical panel to secure the cover extension bottom to the panel cover. The mechanical stops (e.g., brackets) are located on the panel member rear face and configured to each cause the respective coupling member on the panel member rear face to engage the cover extension to secure the cover extension top to the wall.

SWITCH CABINET ARRANGEMENT WITH A SWITCH CABINET AND AT LEAST ONE POWER STRIP
20220109288 · 2022-04-07 · ·

The invention relates to a switch cabinet arrangement having at least one switch cabinet and at least one power strip, the power strip being fixed to a vertical profile inside the switch cabinet via an adapter, wherein the adapter is a hook-in adapter which has a first adapter part on the vertical profile and a second adapter part on the power strip, the power strip being hooked into the first adapter part on the vertical profile via the second adapter part.

RISK REDUCTION OF ELECTRICAL HAZARDS

An apparatus includes an enclosure, a power switch, an absence of voltage detector controller, and an absence of voltage detector. The power switch is mounted inside the enclosure and configured to switch electrical power from a line-side power line to a load-side power line. The load-side power line is configured to transfer the electrical power outside of the enclosure to an industrial control panel. The absence of voltage detector controller is configured to determine a presence and an absence of each of a plurality of phases of the electric power on the load-side power line inside the enclosure. The absence of voltage detector is visible from external to the enclosure, has a switch, and is configured to illuminate one or more lamps indicating the absence of the electrical power on a corresponding one or more of the plurality of phases in response to a pressing of the switch.

ACCESS PORTS FOR ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURES

A sight glass for mounting in a hole, provided with radially inwardly extending protrusions, in a sheet material wall of a housing, for example a switchgear housing, includes: a body with a mounting surface and a cylindrical wall arranged on the mounting surface and extending perpendicularly from the mounting surface; a plurality of L-shaped slots in the radially outer surface of the cylindrical wall; and a gasket arranged on the mounting surface, the gasket enclosing the cylindrical wall. The body and cylindrical wall are of a monolithic transparent material.

Multi-directional impact protection with magnitude and direction indicator

An apparatus for protecting against a multi-directional impact, includes a body with a first set of radial segments, where the body is coupled to an object such that the first set of radial segments extend beyond a planar surface of the object. The apparatus further includes a first radial segment of the first set of radial segments having a diameter greater than a second radial segment of the first set of radial segments. The apparatus further includes a first notch of the first set of radial segments separating the first radial segment and the second radial segment having a concave edge, wherein the first radial segment and the second radial segment each extend beyond the concave edge of the first notch of the first set of radial segments.

A switch cabinet frame rack with multiple profile struts and a rectangular base frame, the underside of which is an outer side of the switch cabinet frame rack, which has at least one through-opening, wherein the through-opening is closed by a skid which is detachable mounted on the outer side.

LOW AND MEDIUM VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURE

A low and medium voltage electrical enclosure comprising a supporting structure which defines an internal space delimited by walls forming one or more compartments housing one or more electrical apparatuses. At least one of said walls is provided with one or more venting openings that put into communication said internal space with the outside of said low voltage electrical enclosure; the venting openings are provided with a cover closing a corresponding venting opening in a first—closed—operating condition. The enclosure is provided with an actuating device adapted to open said cover in a second—open—operating condition in case of arc fault inside said internal space; said actuating device comprises an actuating mechanism having a Shape Memory Alloy-based (SMA-based) actuating element having a first dimension at first predetermined temperatures reversibly changeable into a second dimension at second predetermined temperatures. The reversible change of dimension of said SMA-based actuating element from said first dimension to said second dimension determines the reversible movement of said cover from said first—closed—operating condition to said second—open—operating condition, and vice-versa.
