Headlock cable installation system
A headlock cable installation system includes a headlock assembly, an extension rod, and a flexible headlock cable. The headlock cable installation system is used for installing a pre-connectorized cable assembly. The headlock assembly defines a cavity configured to receive a connectorized end of the pre-connectorized cable assembly. The flexible headlock cable has opposite first and second ends. The first end of the headlock cable is coupled to the headlock assembly, whereas the opposite second end of the headlock cable is adjustably coupled to the extension rod. Adjustment of the second end varies a position of the headlock assembly relative to the extension rod.
Fish stick assembly
A fish stick includes a light emitting component, such as a lighted tip, near the leading end of the fish stick. The lighted tip includes a curved lens that directs some light around an attachment piece at the end of the fish stick and generally in the forward direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fish stick. The fish stick may be made of a phosphorescent material and stored in a lit container with an LED and reflective surfaces. The fish stick may be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other and include a spring biasing element that increases the coefficient of friction between the threads of the rods. The fish stick may also be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other via collars.
Duct rod system for installing an elongated element in a conduit
A duct rod system to be pushed in a conduit of a defined configuration for installing an elongated element in the conduit and comprising at least one rod having a flexible main body, the flexible main body having a bending stiffness arrangement defined in relation to the defined configuration of the conduit to permit a friction reduction of the flexible main body in the conduit.
Method and Equipment for the Installation of a Power Cable in a Tunnel
An embodiment describes a method for installing a single power cable span in a tunnel having an entrance and an exit. The method includes positioning a head portion of the single power cable span near the entrance and laying the single power cable span in the tunnel past the exit. The laying of the single power cable span comprises repeating a plurality of sub-steps until the head portion reaches an endpoint outside the tunnel. The plurality of sub-steps includes connecting a trolley at the entrance in a slidable manner on a rail longitudinally extending along the tunnel between the entrance and the exit, joining the trolley to a pulling rope and to the single power cable span, and moving the trolley along the rail by pulling the pulling rope by a predetermined length. Another embodiment relates to an equipment for installing a single cable span in a tunnel.
CONNECTION JOINT FOR CABLES FOR A CABLE STRINGING PLANT
Connection joint for cables for a cable stringing plant, comprising at least one first tubular element (18) to which a first segment (22) of a flexible member (19) is attached and positioned rotatable, at least with respect to a longitudinal axis (L) of the joint, inside a second tubular element (23) open at a first end and closed at the other end by a bottom wall (25); the bottom wall (25) comprises at least one hole (26) from which a second segment (27) of the flexible member (19) emerges; the second segment (27) is attached to a portion (32) of a third tubular element (31); the second and third tubular elements (23, 31) are provided on opposite ends with a corresponding hole (29, 35) directed substantially in a longitudinal direction and able to house a respective segment of cable (11a, 11b) to be laid.
Pull string advancing tool
Disclosed is a system comprising an apparatus and method to aid electricians or other workers desiring to pass a wire, cord, or other such material through an inaccessible area inside a wall, above a ceiling, or below a floor of a residential home or commercial building. The apparatus consists of two elastic poles with the first pole containing a magnet at its distal end and the second pole containing a void space along its longitudinal axis wherein a string of a length substantially longer than the length of the second pole is passed through the string having a magnet at one end so when fully passed through the magnet is at the distal end of the second pole. The method comprises the steps of passing the first pole through a first opening cut into the wall, ceiling, or floor; passing the second pole through a second opening cut into the wall, ceiling, or floor; manipulating first and second poles such that the magnets on their distal ends magnetically bond with each other; withdrawing first pole from first opening so that the string defines a path between the openings where a wire may be drawn through.
PORTABLE DRILL PULLER
A puller in accordance with some example embodiments includes a frame and a capstan rotatably mounted on the frame. The capstan has a body having an angled wall portion and a movable end wall. A boom is mounted to the frame and has a head at an end thereof which can be positioned in a variety of positions.
Shrink tube insulation apparatus
A device and method for sheathing shrink tubing onto materials such as wire, tape, or cables. The device cannot only sheath short lengths of shrink tubing onto material, but also sheath long lengths shrink tubing onto material. Varying embodiments of this device can insulate whole lengths of material with shrink tubing as well as covering certain sections of material for a more precise application.
Cable snake
A cable snake and a method of assembling a cable snake. The cable snake may include a housing assembly defining a cavity; an actuator rotatably supported by the housing; and a tape operable to be wound into and unwound out of the cavity, the tape applying an unwinding force. A force may be applied to the actuator and the housing assembly, the force resisting the unwinding force. A retainer assembly may be provided between and integral with the actuator and the tape.
Single box type electric wire pushing and pulling machine
A single box type electric wire pushing and pulling machine is disclosed herein. It comprises a U-shaped shell having a first panel and a second panel, and an assembling socket accommodated in the U-shaped shell and having a first holder, a second holder, an adjusting rod disposed between the first holder and the second holder for adjusting the spacing, two extension parts respectively extended from an upper end and a lower end of the second holder, a gear axle hole defined by front ends of the two extension parts, two long troughs respectively disposed at a front end and a rear end of the second holder and two limit members correspondingly assembled to the two long troughs for respectively connecting with the first panel and the second panel of the U-shaped shell.
