Rain tight fitting for electrical metal tubing
A rain-tight fitting for connecting electrical metal tubing to an electrical box in a rain-tight fit. The rain-tight fitting includes a fitting body having a leading end adapted to connect to the knockout of an electrical box and a trailing end adapted to create a rain-tight fit with an end of electrical metal tubing (EMT). One or more sleeves are seated within a trailing bore of the fitting body and are held in place by a fastener. A necked-down wall portion on the sleeve contacts the outer periphery of the EMT as it is inserted into the trailing end of the fitting. After the EMT is fully inserted within the trailing end of the fitting, the fastener is tightened to drive the fastener against the outer periphery of the EMT, thereby providing a grounding path between the fitting, the electrical box, and the EMT.
Molded Box Cover for Fire and Acoustical Sealing of Electrical Boxes
An electrical box cover for an electrical outlet box includes a back and four sides extending from the back. The back and the four sides define an interior of the box cover that is large enough to cover the exterior of the electrical outlet box. The box cover is made of a soft, flexible material that can be molded to a shape of the electrical outlet box and that has certain elastomeric qualities so that the box cover can be slipped on to the electrical outlet box and installed, thereby providing additional sound and fire protection to the electrical outlet box. The cover box may also include a flange surrounding the opening in the box cover to cover any gaps around the cutout of the wall. The box cover may include one or more knock-outs that correspond to one or more knock-outs in the electrical outlet box.
Electrical receptacle cover
An electrical receptacle cover, comprising a cover base, configured to be affixed to an electrical receptacle assembly. The cover base including a base surface having at least one opening configured to be aligned with an electrical receptacle of the electrical receptacle assembly. The cover base includes a base wall disposed about and extending from a perimeter of the base surface and the base surface and the base wall together define a base cavity. There is a cover lid interconnected with the cover base and it is moveable, via a hinge, from an open position, in which the base cavity is exposed, to a closed position in which the base cover is substantially disposed within the base cavity.
Use of flame resistant material with audio/video, information and communication technology equipment enclosure
A wall-mounted enclosure assembly comprising knockouts formed through one or more enclosure walls is provided with a layer of metallic or polymeric flame-resistant material affixed to the exterior or interior surface of the one or more enclosure walls to block the knockout's perforations, which would otherwise remain open. This seals the unused knockouts and prevents hot molten materials or flames from escaping the enclosure through the knockouts' perforations in the event of a destructive equipment malfunction within the enclosure. Unused knockouts remain visible through the tape, and consequently the tape does not prevent installers from easily locating and removing selected knockouts.
Electrical connection box and wire harness
A wire harness includes an electrical connection box. The electrical connection box includes a body in which an electronic component is mounted and a lower cover. The lower cover covers a rectangular frame and a vertically lower end portion of the rectangular frame, and includes: a bottom disposed parallel to a panel of a vehicle body, the panel facing the lower cover; an inlet having the smallest distance from the panel; and a channel-forming depression. The channel-forming depression is provided on the vertically lower side than the inlet, formed by bending at least a part of the bottom toward the inside of the lower cover, and formed along a surface of the panel, so as to allow liquid that has entered between the bottom and the panel to flow to the outside.
Electrical device box for mounting in a clean room
A double-single stainless steel electrical junction box is configured to receive two single covers. A center bridge spans between the top and bottom surfaces to define a first and a second cover plate-mounting aperture adjacent each lateral side of the bridge. The interior compartment of the junction box is common to both of the first and second cover plate-mounting apertures. Electrical conduit hubs can be disposed above the top surface and below the bottom surface of the junction box to allow electrical wiring to reach the interior compartment.
Apparatus for leading out cable from housing of electronic apparatus and such electronic device
The apparatus 50 comprises a flange 52 which is fastened to a housing 12, a cable clamp 54 which has a first through hole through which the cable 14 is passed and which is arranged between the housing 12 and the flange 52, and an elastic member 56 which has a second through hole through which the cable 14 is passed and which is arranged between the housing 12 and the cable clamp 54. The flange 2 has a cable hole 66 which opens at an outer peripheral edge of the flange 52 and holds the cable 14. The elastic member 56 is sandwiched between the cable clamp 54 and the housing 12 when the flange 52 is fastened to the housing 12, elastically deforms, holds the cable 14 at the inside of the second through hole, and seals the cable lead-out hole 66.
Electrical junction box with built-in isolation transformer
An electrical junction box with a built-in isolation transformer is provided. The junction box comprises an interior base portion having at least one opening, a transformer secured to the interior base portion and in electrical communication with low-voltage and high-voltage terminals, a cover configured to attach to a junction box base plate and housing the interior base portion and the transformer, and a gasket providing a watertight seal between the cover and the junction box base plate.
Vapor barrier cover for sealing an electrical box against air infiltration
A vapor barrier cover for installation to an electrical box in the rough-in phase of construction. The vapor barrier cover includes a flange with an opening having an inner periphery and a body extending from the inner periphery of the flange. The body includes walls extending to a front edge. A front wall extending from the front edge includes a front opening and a rearward extending wing. Installation of the vapor barrier cover enables inspection and testing for air-tightness around the periphery of the electrical box prior to the final phase of construction and without the need for a gasket.
IN-USE WATER-TIGHT COUPLER FOR AN ELECTRICAL FLOOR BOX
An electrical floor box is configured to be electrically connected to an electrical cable that includes a cable terminal. The electrical floor box includes a surface plate oriented parallel to a floor surface. The surface plate includes an aperture. The electrical floor box also includes an electrical connector positioned in the aperture of the surface plate. The electrical connector includes a connector terminal that is configured to engage the cable terminal to provide an electrical connection therebetween. The electrical floor box further includes a sealing member positioned between the electrical connector and the aperture of the surface plate. The sealing member is configured to engage a portion of the electrical cable to provide a water-tight seal between the electrical cable and the connector terminal while the electrical cable is coupled to the electrical connector.
