Apparatus for Different Sized Boxes
An electrical box for accommodating at least one duplex electrical outlet including a first side, a second side having a mount opening therein. The electrical box also includes a mounting tube. The mounting tube is mountable to the mount opening. The mounting tube further includes first tubular member having a first length, and a second member fittable within the first tubular member. The second member further includes a tubular main body including a tubular portion fittable within the first tubular member, and a first end including a stop. The first end and stop engage the mount opening in the second side.
Method for Mounting Electrical Boxes
A method for mounting an electrical box to a structural element of a building includes drilling an opening in a structural element, and passing a tubular portion associated with an electrical box through the opening in the structural element. The tubular portion is locked in position with respect to the structural element.
Wire Holding Device and Method
A tie for holding electrical wire includes a base and a zip tie. The base has an opening for holding a zip tie fastener therein. The zip tie has a first portion having a first width, and a second portion having a second width lesser than the first width. The opening in the base is sufficient to allow the second portion of the tie to pass therethrough, but too small to allow the first portion of the tie to pass therethrough. The tie also includes a connector on the free end of the first portion sized to receive the second portion of the tie.
Apparatus for Producing Different Sized Boxes
The present invention provides a base electrical box, and an end portion. The end portion is added to the base electrical box to substantially complete the electrical box. The electrical box also includes at least one intermediate portion that is added to complete the electrical box. The at least one intermediate portion is placed between the base electric box and the end portion.
System for powering and controlling furniture-mounted light fixtures
According to the present disclosure, a switching system for a fixture includes a first switch unit with a first switch actuator and a first power cord with an integrally formed power connector at its distal end. The first switch unit has an electrical receptacle configured to receive a corresponding power connector of a cord electrically connected to the fixture. The electrical receptacle is electrically coupled to the first power cord through the first switch actuator to provide switching actuation to the fixture. The switching system may include a second switch unit that includes a second switch actuator and a second power cord with an integrally formed power connector at its distal end. The first and second switch units are connectable to provide a three-way switching electrical connection.
System for electronic doorframe
A system for providing electronic features in a doorframe includes a body structure having a top wall, a bottom wall and a plurality of side walls. The walls define an interior space of the body structure. A plurality of ports are formed in the top wall and a plurality of ports are formed in the bottom wall with each port opening into the interior space. One or more of the top wall ports is longitudinally aligned with a respective bottom wall port to form a port pair. A diverter is positioned in the interior space and extends in the interior space from one side wall and toward an opposing side wall. The diverter spans between the port pair. The diverter has a diverter surface that is configured for directing an element that extends through a port of the port pair toward an area in the body structure.
INTEGRATED FENESTRATION WALL ASSEMBLY
A fenestration wall assembly includes a fenestration frame extending along a perimeter of the fenestration wall assembly. The fenestration frame includes a socket core having a first module socket configured to interchangeably receive service modules therein, and a second module socket configured to interchangeably receive service modules therein. The interchangeably received service modules include at least first and second service modules. Each of the first and second modules includes respective first and second module profiles. A panel having a panel profile is surrounded by the fenestration frame. The panel profile is isolated from the first and second module profiles.
Flush mountable electrical apparatus
A flush mountable electrical apparatus, according to an example, includes an electrical apparatus including a junction box having an open end, an electrical device positioned within the junction box, and a first cover plate to cover the open end of the junction box. The flush mountable electrical apparatus further includes a second cover plate attached to the first cover plate, and a mounting plate to be mounted over a recess in a mounting surface. The mounting plate includes a first opening sized to allow the electrical apparatus to be inserted through the first opening and into the recess. The second cover plate is configured to be attached to the mounting plate to secure the electrical apparatus in position within the recess.
POWER DELIVERY ASSEMBLY AND BUILDING HAVING POWER DELIVERY ASSEMBLY
A power delivery assembly includes a fascia panel and a power cable. The fascia panel defines a channel and an outlet opening. The channel extends to the outlet opening. The power cable includes an electrical component, an electrical inlet, and a conductor. The electrical component is disposed in the outlet opening such that the electrical component extends through the fascia panel. The electrical inlet is configured to receive power from a power supply. The conductor is in electrical communication with each of the electrical component and the electrical inlet. The conductor is routed along the channel. The electrical inlet facilitates delivery of electricity through the conductor to the electrical component.
Panel power connector
A moveable wall is connected to a structure and is operable to receive power from a power source. The moveable wall includes a first panel is connected to the structure for movement with respect to the structure. The first panel has a first electrical connection and the first panel receives power from the power source and to direct said power to the first electrical connection. A second panel is connected to the structure for movement with respect to the structure. The second panel has a second electrical connection, and the second electrical connection is configured to electrically connect to the first electrical connection to receive said power from the first electrical connection. One of the first electrical connection and the second electrical connection has a degree of freedom to move relative to the respective panel.
