A cable splice includes a casing having a central portion and a first end including a first aperture. The casing defines an interior cavity. A guide assembly extends through the first opening into the interior cavity. A first clamp member is positioned in the interior cavity and moveable between a loading position and a terminated position. A first biasing member biases the first clamp member toward the terminated position. A carrier is positioned in the interior cavity between the first biasing member and the central region. A second clamp member is positioned in the carrier and moveable with respect to the carrier.

A saver clamp assembly is provided herein. The assembly includes a plurality of triangular flat plates 1 with rounded edges 10, 11, 12, a yoke plate 2 having two rounded edges 13,14 respectively and a triangular shaped third edge 15, a plurality of turn buckle 3 connected to both the edges of the triangular plate 1 at one end, a bypass clamp 5 having multiple U shaped grooves 16 on top and an arc groove 17 centered on opposite side of the grooves to accommodate the power line, wherein the bypass clamp secures other end of plurality of turn buckle 3 through metal plates 6 which is sitting on the grooves and tightened to the clamp 5 using plurality of nuts and bolts, thus forming the saver assembly.

Termination arrangement for an overhead electrical cable

A termination arrangement for securing an overhead electrical cable to a dead-end structure such as a dead-end tower. The termination arrangement includes a compression sheath that is configured to be disposed between a strength member and the conductive strands of the overhead electrical cable. The compression sheath mitigates damage to the strength member that may occur when an outer metallic sleeve is compressed around the conductive strands and the conductive strands are compressed against the strength member. The arrangement is particularly useful for securing overhead electrical cables having a composite strength member to a dead-end structure.

Helical jumper connector

A helical jumper connector includes a helical support member configured to support a wire. The helical support member includes a first leg having a first helical winding and a second leg having a second helical winding that defines a second axial opening. The first axial opening and the second axial opening are coaxial with the wire when the first helical winding and the second helical winding are wrapped around the wire and cooperatively engage with one another to support the wire. A jumper casting is configured to receive the helical support member. The helical support member and the jumper casting are electrically conductive such that the helical jumper connector forms an electrically conductive pathway to carry electrical current from the wire. A method of making a helical jumper connector assembly includes applying a compression force to a helical jumper connector comprising a helical support member received in a jumper casting.

An electrical connector includes a compression device defining an aperture and is configured to receive a first portion of a base row of wires and a first portion of a core of an electrical conductor within the aperture. An outer tube defines a central through hole and is configured to receive the compression device within the central through hole. A first end of the outer tube is configured to be compressed around the first end of the compression device, and a first portion of the core of the associated electrical conductor to create a compressed assembly. The compressed assembly is contiguous with a second portion of the base row of wires and a second portion of the core of the associated electrical conductor.
