SIDE-LOADING QUADRANT DEADEND CLAMP ASSEMBLY
A clamp assembly includes a body member and a keeper. A cable groove is formed in the body member to receive a cable. The keeper has a lower surface to engage the cable received in the cable groove. A threaded fastener connects the keeper to the body member. A recess is formed in the body member to receive a washer on the fastener.
The recess is defined by first and second walls in which the first wall has a larger height than the second wall. A biasing member is disposed on the threaded fastener between the keeper and the body member.
Grounding Ring
A grounding ring includes: a first clamping member having a radially inward side and a radially outward side, the radially outward side at least in part defining a channel; and a second clamping member disposable within the channel so as to prohibit the second clamping member from moving in an axial direction with respect to the first clamping member, the second clamping member being rotatable with respect to the first clamping member within the channel about the axial direction.
Termination arrangement for an overhead electrical cable including a tensile strain sheath
A termination arrangement for securing an overhead electrical cable and a method for securing an overhead electrical cable. The termination arrangement includes a longitudinally-extending sheath having a high tensile modulus that is configured to receive a strength member of the overhead electrical cable therein.
Drop cable clamp with controlled cable cutting feature
A cable clamp includes a shell having a shell base, a first sidewall and a second sidewall forming a channel extending in a first direction to receive a cable therein. A wedge resides between the first and second sidewalls and includes a wedge base facing the shell base. A shim resides between the wedge base and the shell base, and the cable fits between the shim and the shell base. Movement of the shell relative to the wedge causes the cable to engage more tightly between the shim and the shell base. In one embodiment, a blade element resides between the shim and the shell base. The blade may be a separate element from the shim or attached to or integrally formed with the shim. The wedge may include a recessed area or a cutout portion to accommodate the blade. A cutting edge of the blade element faces toward the cable and will cut the cable in response to an excessive force along the first direction being applied to the cable within the channel.
Single person wedge clamp
A dead-end clamp assembly for a utility conductor includes a clamp body having a base with a front end and a rear end, a first jaw guide extending from the base, and a second jaw guide extending from the base. The base, first jaw guide, and second jaw guide at least partially define a trough. A first jaw movably engages the body and a second jaw movably engages the body. The first jaw engages the second jaw such that the first and second jaws move together. A sag eye extends from the clamp body. The sag eye has an opening configured to receive a hotstick. A clevis connector extends from the rear end of the clamp body. The clevis connector is configured to receive a clevis pin so that the clevis pin is positioned below the trough.
DROP CABLE CLAMP WITH CONTROLLED CABLE CUTTING FEATURE
A cable clamp includes a shell having a shell base with a first sidewall and a second sidewall forming a channel extending in a first direction to receive a cable therein.
Saver clamp assembly
A saver clamp assembly is provided herein. The assembly includes a plurality of triangular flat plates 1 with rounded edges 10, 11, 12, a yoke plate 2 having two rounded edges 13, 14 respectively and a triangular shaped third edge 18, a plurality of turn buckle 3 connected to both the edges of the triangular plate 1 at one end, a bypass clamp 5 having multiple U shaped grooves 16 on top and an arc groove 17 centered on opposite side of the grooves to accommodate the power line, wherein the bypass clamp secures other end of plurality of turn buckle 3 through metal plates 6 which is sitting on the grooves and tightened to the clamp 5 using plurality of nuts and bolts, thus forming the saver assembly.
