Systems and methods for alerting users to device low battery states
Methods and systems for alerting a user to a device low battery state are disclosed herein. An example method includes receiving, at a charging station for a scanning device, a notification from the scanning device when the scanning device is not coupled to the charging station indicating that the scanning device has entered a low battery state. The scanning device may be communicatively coupled to the charging station by a wireless communication protocol. Further, the example method may include generating, by the charging station, an indication of the low battery state of the scanning device based upon the notification. The example method may also include displaying, by the charging station, the indication for a user.
REMOTE SHARED CONTENT EXPERIENCE SYSTEMS
A system provides a “virtual room” for remotely sharing content experiences via electronic devices at different locations. The system may enable synchronization of the content at the different locations, access control, be able to provide and/or experience interaction feedback regarding the content, control the interaction feedback that is provided and/or experienced, enhance the ability of people to distinguish the content from the interaction feedback, and so on. As such, people may be able to share content experiences more like they were present in a single location while remote from each other.
A METHOD OF, AND A NODE DEVICE FOR, SUPPORTING ESTABLISHMENT OF A PATH FROM A SOURCE NODE TO A DESTINATION NODE IN WIRELESS MESH NETWORK
A method of supporting establishment of a path from a source node to a destination node in wireless mesh network, said path comprising at least one intermediate node, said method comprising the steps of receiving, by an intermediate node, a synchronous notification message, from a neighbouring node, for synchronizing said intermediary node with said neighbouring node, and establishing, by said intermediate node, in response to said receipt of said synchronous notification message, a reciprocal path between said intermediate node and said neighbouring node, wherein said reciprocal path is used in a path between said source node and said destination node. A corresponding node device arranged for performing the method is also presented herein.
SUPPLEMENTAL VOLTAGE CONTROLLER FOR RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) ANTENNAS
This disclosure describes techniques that enable a supplemental voltage to be delivered to a Remote Radio Unit (RRU) to compensate for a voltage loss that occurs between a primary Direct Current (DC) power source and the RRU. A supplemental voltage controller is described that captures current environmental metadata associated with an operation of the RRU and calculates an RRU voltage at the RRU. In doing so, the supplemental voltage controller may generate a supplemental voltage control signal that supplements the RRU with a supplemental DC voltage.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR ELECTRIC POWER GRID AND NETWORK MANAGEMENT OF GRID ELEMENTS
Systems, methods and apparatus for electric power grid element and network management are disclosed. At least one grid element constructed and configured for electrical connection and for internet protocol (IP) -based network communication with a server operatively coupled with a memory. The at least one grid element is automatically and/or autonomously transformed into at least one active grid element after automatically communicating an initial message to the server for registration. The at least one active grid element functions actively within the electric power grid. The at least one active grid element has a profile comprising an energy usage pattern or an energy supply pattern. The at least one active grid element sends and receives messages to and from the server.
Ingress Protection Assembly for a Utility Meter and Meter Arrangement Comprising Same
An ingress protection assembly for leading a wire, such as a signal and/or a supply line, through a partition wall of an electrical device is provided. The ingress protection assembly includes a first wall section provided with a receiving slot extending through the first wall section in a lead-through direction and opening at an inlet facing in an assembly direction of the ingress protection assembly; and a second wall section provided with a counter slot extending through the second wall section in the lead-through direction and opening at a counter inlet facing against the assembly direction, wherein at least in a fully assembled state of the ingress protection assembly, the first wall section and the second wall section are at least partially superimposed in a projection along the lead-through direction such that the receiving slot and the counter slot together form an aperture configured for tightly encompassing the wire.
STORAGE BATTERY APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, a storage battery apparatus comprising: a plurality of storage battery modules, each of which includes a battery module and a first wireless communication module transmitting and receiving a radio wave based on a BLE standard; and a battery management unit which includes a plurality of second wireless communication modules transmitting and receiving a radio wave based on the BLE standard, and an arithmetic processing apparatus controlling operation of the second wireless communication modules, wherein the arithmetic processing apparatus establishes communication between the battery management unit and the storage battery modules in unit of groups each including at least one of the storage battery modules.
SPACED APART STERILIZATION LIGHTS IN AN AIRCRAFT CABIN
A pathogen sterilization light assembly for a vehicle cabin is provided herein and may include a plurality of sterilization lights mounted spaced apart along a cabin of the vehicle and configured to emit ultraviolet (UV) light directed toward areas within the cabin to sterilize pathogens.
ADAPTIVE METERING IN A SMART GRID
An implementation of a utility meter is connected to a resource and to a customer premises. The utility meter includes a sensor, a converter, and a radio. The sensor is configured to detect a characteristic of resource usage by the customer premises. The converter is configured to convert the characteristic to raw consumption data describing the resource usage. The radio is configured to transmit the raw consumption data output by the converter to a remote processing system. The remote processing system includes one or both of a fog and a cloud. The fog is associated with a geographic region of the utility meter and performs data processing on the raw consumption data and on regional raw consumption data received from other endpoints in the geographic region. The cloud performs data processing on the raw consumption data as well as on data received from other endpoints across various geographic regions.
Control system for an electrical apparatus
A system includes an electrical apparatus configured to monitor or control one or more aspects of an electrical power distribution network; and a control system including more than one electronic processor, where the electronic processors are configured to cause the control system to interact with the electrical apparatus, an interaction between the control system and the electrical apparatus including one or more of the control system providing information to the electrical apparatus and the control system receiving information from the electrical apparatus, and if some of the electronic processors are unable to cause the control system to interact with the electrical apparatus, at least one of the other electronic processors is able to cause the control system to interact with the apparatus.
