A rotating electric machine includes a multi-phase armature coil wound on an armature core. The armature coil is formed of electrical conductor groups each being a bundle of electrical conductor segments and having a pair of leg portions and a connecting portion that connects the leg portions. The connecting portion is bent radially with respect to a circumferential direction. The electrical conductor groups are paired such that each pair of the electrical conductor groups consists of a first electrical conductor group and a second electrical conductor group both belonging to a same phase of the armature coil. The circumferential pitch between the leg portions of the first electrical conductor group is greater than that between the leg portions of the second electrical conductor group. In each pair of the electrical conductor groups, the connecting portions of the first and second electrical conductor groups are arranged to axially overlap each other.

Electric machine with liquid-cooled stator core

A liquid-cooled rotating electric machine may include an inner stator and outer rotor configured to rotate about the stator. A hub may be disposed within the inner stator and a heat exchanger may be disposed in the hub. The heat exchanger may be configured to enable the flow a liquid through it to dissipate heat from the stator.

ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE HAVING WINDING COILS WITH FIRST AND SECOND PORTIONS CONNECTED IN SERIES

A rotary electric machine includes a stator extending along an axis and having teeth arranged about the axis. The teeth are circumferentially spaced apart by slots. Winding coils extend around the teeth and through the slots. The winding coils are electrically connected to one another to form phases. At least one of the winding coils has a first portion extending through first and second slots of the slots and including first end turns extending between the first and second slots over an axial end surface of the teeth. A second portion extends through the first and second slots and includes second end turns extending between the first and second slots over the axial end surface of the teeth. The first and second portions are connected in series at a third end turn spaced closer to the axial end surface than either the first or second end turns.

Stator winding, generator, and connection method of stator winding conductor

A stator winding includes: a plurality of stator bars and a connection structure. Each of the stator bars penetrates each of the stator slots and includes at least one hollow element wire, wherein inside the at least one hollow element wire a flow hole for a cooling medium is formed. A connection structure includes: a sleeve whose axial one end is fitted to a vicinity of an end of the stator bar; a closing plate disposed at another end of the sleeve; and a hollow extension pipe. The hollow extension pipe is disposed in a space defined by the sleeve and the closing plate at the end of the stator bar, and makes the flow hole of the hollow element wire and an outside of the space communicate each other. A brazing material is filled in the space.

Stator, motor, compressor, air conditioning apparatus, and method for manufacturing stator

A slot includes a coil housing portion having first and second side portions and a bottom portion. A first straight line connects first and second points which are boundaries between the bottom portion and the side portions. A slot opening has third and fourth points closest to the first and second side portions. A second straight line connects the first and third points. A third straight line connects the second and fourth points. A first region is surrounded by the first straight line and the bottom portion. A second region is surrounded by the second straight line and the first side portion, and is surrounded by the third straight line and the second side portion. A third region is surrounded by the three straight lines. Areas A1, A2 and A3 of the three regions and total cross-sectional areas S1, S2, S3 of coils therein satisfy (S1/A1)>(S2/A2)>(S3/A3).
