Pulley Assisted Electromagnetic Fluid Pump
An electrically and mechanically driven automotive accessory including a housing, an electric motor, a pulley, and a pulley assist mechanism. The electric motor comprises a stator assembly that is mounted to the housing and a rotor assembly that is mounted to a shaft. The electric motor creates a primary torque flow path that drives rotation of the rotor assembly relative to the stator assembly. The pulley is rotatable relative to the shaft and the rotor assembly. The pulley assist mechanism includes an annular channel in the rotor assembly that creates a magnetic gap, a finger made of a non-ferrous metal that extends from the pulley into the annular channel, and an electromagnetic coil that induces eddy currents in the finger of the pulley and a magnetic field in the magnetic gap, which creates a secondary torque flow path between the pulley and the rotor assembly.
MOTOR-DRIVEN CONVEYING ROLLER COMPRISING A COOLING SLEEVE PRESSED INTO THE DRUM TUBE
The invention relates to a motor-driven conveyor roller (1) for conveyor systems for conveying containers, pallets and the like, comprising a drum tube (2) with a cavity formed therein and a longitudinal axis (A), a shaft (4) which extends in the longitudinal axis (A) and on which the drum tube (2) is supported by means of at least one bearing (6), and an electric drive unit (14) arranged in the cavity. The invention is characterized by a cooling sleeve (30) which is fixed radially inwardly to the drum tube (2) and at least partially radially surrounds the drive unit (14) so that a radial air gap (S) is formed between the drive unit (14) and the cooling sleeve (30). The invention also concerns a manufacturing process for such a conveyor roller.
Reel motor with closed cooling circuit
A reel motor (1) for a driven conveyor roller has a stator (11) that is surrounded by a stator housing (10). A rotor (12) drives a rotor shaft (13). A tubular external housing (30) runs around the stator housing (10) at a distance in the circumferential direction. A cooling duct (20) is fluidically connected to an interior of the stator housing (10) holding the stator (11). The cooling duct 20 is formed between the external housing (30) and the stator housing (10). An impeller wheel (14) is secured to the rotor shaft (13). The impeller wheel generates a cooling air flow (K). The interior of the stator housing (10) and the cooling duct (20) determine a closed cooling circuit. The cooling air flow is guided through the closed cooling circuit.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HOIST WITH INTEGRATED DRUM AND MOTOR
Embodiments herein relate to a permanent magnet (PM) motor driven hoist system. The hoist system includes a PM out-runner motor with a stator on a fixed central shaft with stator coils, and an outer rotor assembly coaxial with and rotatable about the stator. The rotor having a rotating housing with an outer surface radially outward of the shaft and an inner surface radially inward of the shaft and plurality of PMs disposed at the inner surface configured to magnetically couple with the stator. The rotating housing coupled to the cable drum such that rotation of the rotor assembly causes rotation of the cable drum. The system also includes a controller connected to a power source and the motor, configured to generate excitation signals applied to the stator coils to induce a torque in the outer rotor assembly and cause it to rotate about the stator and central shaft.
Belt pulley arrangement for a belt drive for driving auxiliary units of a motor vehicle, and a method for driving a motor vehicle auxiliary unit that is connected by means of a belt pulley arrangement
A belt pulley arrangement for a belt drive for driving auxiliary units of a motor vehicle, comprising a belt pulley for introducing a torque that can be supplied by a traction mechanism, an output shaft for driving an auxiliary unit, particularly a coolant pump, an electric machine for transmitting torque between the belt pulley and the output shaft, the electric machine including a rotor connected to the belt pulley and a stator connected to the output shaft, and being able to be electrically connected to an electric energy source for the purpose of accelerating the output shaft and/or to an electric energy sink in order to decelerate the output shaft, a first rotational speed measurement device for detecting the time curve of the rotational speed of the belt pulley and/or a second rotational speed measurement device for detecting the time curve of the rotational speed of the output shaft, and a control device connected to the electric energy source and/or electric energy sink so as to control an output shaft rotational speed time curve by temporarily electrically connecting the energy source and/or energy sink in reaction to the rotational speed time curve that has been detected. The power flow between belt pulley and output shaft which can be influenced by the electric machine provides that the auxiliary unit that is connected via the output shaft does not have to be designed for the most unfavorable operating point. As a result, the auxiliary unit can have smaller dimensions which allows a reduction in the construction space for motor vehicle components and particularly in the construction space for motor vehicle auxiliary units which can be driven by the belt drive.
