Electric actuator for marine steering system

An electric actuator comprises a housing and an output shaft reciprocatingly received by the housing. There is a screw assembly disposed within the housing and coupled to the output shaft. The screw assembly includes a plurality of annular rollers and a central screw received by the annular rollers. The annular rollers are rotatable about the central screw. There is a motor which includes a stator and a rotor. The rotor has an inner bore which engages the annular rollers. Rotation of the rotor causes the central screw to translate axially relative to the rotor and the output shaft to reciprocate relative to the housing.

Drive train module for a motor vehicle with a clutch which comprises a pressure equalization device

A drivetrain module for a motor vehicle having a clutch with an input area and an output area. A mutual rotational driving of the input area and output area is influenceable by the action of the clutch. The clutch has a clutch housing with a clutch space formed therein. The input area and the output area are arranged at least partially in the clutch space. The clutch space is filled and is closed to be tight against fluid relative to a surrounding area of the clutch space. The clutch has a pressure compensation device for compensation of a pressure difference acting between the clutch space and the surrounding area.

Systems and methods for running an air compressor using a permanent magnet generator

Systems and methods are disclosed of an engine driven power system that includes a permanent magnet generator electrically connected to an energy storage device. An air compressor is coupled to the permanent magnet generator via a clutch. A controller provides power from the energy storage device to the permanent magnet generator to turn the permanent magnet generator to drive the air compressor via the clutch to increase an air pressure level.

Integrated starter-generator device with unidirectional clutch actuation utilizing a biased lever assembly

A starter-generator device for a work vehicle having an engine. The device includes a gear set for transmitting power, first and second clutches having actuation pins and shiftable relative to the gear set, first and second actuator devices moving armatures only in a first direction, and first and second linkages having a coupling region coupled to the respective armature and a second end coupled to the actuation pin. The first actuator device moves the coupling region and second end of the first linkage in the first direction. The second actuator device moves the coupling region of the second linkage in the first direction and the second end in an opposite second direction. The clutches shift into engaged or disengaged positions by the second end of the respective linkage moving one of the directions, and shift into the other engaged or disengaged position by the second end moving the other direction.

Electrical machine

An electrical machine comprising a two-part rotor formed of a first rotor part and a second rotor part. The first rotor part includes a conical section and is mounted to a shaft of the machine. The second rotor part has a bore including a complementary conical section. The second rotor part is configured to displace axially between a first state, in which it is engaged with the first rotor part to form the rotor of the electrical machine, and a second state, in which it is axially disengaged from the first rotor part. Also a clutch having an engaged state and a disengaged state. When the clutch is in one of its states the second rotor part is in its first state and switching the clutch to the other of its states axially displaces the second rotor part to its second state.

A driving apparatus for a vehicle is disclosed. The driving apparatus is used for transmitting drive force to a first output shaft. The driving apparatus includes a housing, a motor, a torque converter and an oil reservoir unit. The housing includes a first oil chamber and a second oil chamber. The motor is disposed in the first oil chamber. The torque converter forms the second oil chamber and transmits drive force of the motor to the first output shaft. The oil reservoir unit is disposed radially inward of the torque converter. The torque converter guides hydraulic oil from the oil reservoir unit to the second oil chamber by centrifugal force.

Rotational coupling device with armature release collar

A rotational coupling device includes an armature configured for coupling to a shaft for rotation with the shaft about an axis, but axially movable relative to the shaft. An electromagnet assembly is disposed on one side of the armature and fixed against rotation. A collar is disposed on the opposite side of the armature. The collar is configured for rotation with the shaft, but fixed against axial movement relative to the shaft and includes a permanent magnet. When a current having a first polarity is provided to the electromagnet assembly, the armature moves in one axial direction into engagement with a member of the coupling device to transmit a torque between the member and the armature. The permanent magnet urges the armature in the opposite axial direction to disengage the armature from the member when the current is not provided to the electromagnet assembly.
