WINDING STABILITY FOR ELECTRIC MACHINES
An electric machine rotor includes a rotor body configured to rotate about a rotation axis. A winding includes a plurality of end winding portions extending circumferentially over an axial end of the pole core. An anchor is woven into the end winding portions to inhibit movement of the end winding portions relative to the pole core. The anchor includes a first portion extending radially outward along a first row of the end winding portions. A second portion of the anchor extends axially from the first row, beyond a second row of the end winding portions to a third row of the end winding portions. A third portion of the anchor extends radially along the third row. A fourth portion extends axially between two of the end windings in the third row. A fifth portion of the anchor extends radially inward between the second row and the third row.
Method for producing a stator
A method for producing a stator includes the steps of: providing a stator, which has one or more windings and a winding head, the winding head having one or more cable ends; positioning a phase connection assembly by way of a retaining element on the winding head, the phase connection assembly having at least one cable element; connecting the at least one cable element to a corresponding cable end of the winding head; and removing the retaining element.
MODIFIED STATOR LEADS AND METHODS OF JOINING STATOR LEADS
Certain aspects relate to systems and methods to join leads of stator windings to components of an electric machine, such as a bus bar of a stator of the electric machine. Systems and methods include modifying a surface of the lead and laser welding the surface-modified lead to the bus bar. Systems and methods can include reducing the reflectivity of the lead by imparting a non-smooth surface on the lead, thereby allowing a laser to deliver concentrated energy onto the lead. The surface-modified lead can include knurled surface, a pattern of raised grooves stamped into the surface of the lead, or a roughened surface.
STATOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING STATOR
A stator includes: a stator core in which a coil strand is wound around each of a plurality of teeth portions formed in an annular yoke portion; an annular plate that is disposed at a position overlapping an annular portion of the stator core in a direction along an axial center of the stator core; a plurality of terminals which are supported by the plate and to which end portions of a plurality of the coil strands drawn out from the stator core are respectively connected; and a resin that encloses the stator core and the plate in a state where a part of the plurality of terminals is exposed.
