SYNCHRONOUS RELUCTANCE MOTOR
A synchronous reluctance motor includes magnetic barriers in each magnetic barrier group of a rotor core, each having a shape which protrudes toward a radial inner side and is symmetrical about a q-axis. A portion closer to a circumferential side than the q-axis includes a first portion extending perpendicular to the q-axis and a second portion extending farther toward the circumferential side from a circumferential side of the first portion and radially outward, and the first portions of the magnetic barriers in each magnetic barrier group have the same radial dimension. The first portions of the magnetic barriers other than the radial outermost magnetic barrier have the same circumferential dimension, which is the same as or twice a circumferential dimension of the first portion of the radial outermost magnetic barrier.

Method for operating an electric machine and electric machines
In a method for operating an electric machine with at least two coils and a magnetizable, movable core such as an armature or a rotor, a current of a constant average value is applied from a direct current source at the coils in such a way that the device is operated in the magnetic saturation range of the core. More particularly, one linear and one rotational actuator is proposed for such an operating mode.
HOMOPOLAR COMPOUND-TYPE ASYNCHRONOUS MOTOR
Disclosed is an asynchronous rotating electric machine in which none of the electrical windings is rotating, said machine having a homopolar compound structure. The machine comprises: a rotor including magnetic flux return parts; and a stator formed by a pair of armatures and a magnetic wedge connecting the armatures and providing the magnetic flux in the direction of the axis of rotation, an annular induction coil being supplied with alternating current and housed between the air gap and the wedge, and one or two armature coils being received by one or both of the armatures generating an alternating magnetic flux.

Rotor and reluctance motor
A rotor for an electrical machine, in particular synchronous reluctance machine, is provided. The rotor is formed as a cylindrical structure having a magnetically soft element formed with an even number of salient magnetic poles openings for forming magnetic flux barriers. The openings are at least partially filled with a diamagnetic and/or paramagnetic medium and the diamagnetic and/or paramagnetic medium may axially and tangentially fix the magnetically soft element relative to the rotor. A method for producing such a rotor and apparatus using the rotor, including a reluctance motor, in particular a synchronous reluctance motor, that uses the rotor are provided.
STATOR USED IN RESOLVERS, AND RESOLVER INCLUDING SAME
The embodiments relate to a stator used in resolvers, in which multiple slots are formed at constant intervals in the circumferential direction and have an excitation coil, a first output coil, and a second output coil are respectively wound around the multiple slots. The excitation coil is wound by a number of windings that is changed on the basis of a sinusoidal wave in accordance with the order of the multiple slots in the circumferential direction. After the first output coil is wound by a number of windings resulting from the division of the total number of windings by a constant ratio, the second output coil is wound, and then the rest of the first output coil is wound.

VARIABLE GEAR RATIO ELECTRICAL MACHINE
An electrical machine including a moveable permanent magnet configured to generate a first magnetic field. A stator including windings configured to excite a second magnetic field. A moveable inter-pole component located between the permanent magnet component and the stator, the inter-pole component comprising an array of magnetic inter-pole pieces. The speed of movement of the inter-pole component is controlled to set a magnetic gear ratio between the first and second magnetic fields. Also a gas turbine engine, propulsor or thruster incorporating the electrical machine.
