Auxiliary winding for a generator
An auxiliary winding for use in an engine-driven generator system is disclosed. The auxiliary winding is separate from but resides with the main winding in the stator slots of an alternator in the generator system. The auxiliary winding is configured to utilize the fundamental component of the flux in the airgap of the alternator along with selected spatial harmonic components to provide power to an automatic voltage regulator during all operating conditions.
Controller-integrated electric rotating machine with brush restricting elements and assembling and disassembling methods of the same
In a controller-integrated electric rotating machine configured to assemble a front side semi-manufactured assembly E formed from an electric rotating machine main body 1 and a front bracket 4 with the rear side semi-manufactured assembly D to which a rear bracket 5, a control unit assembly A, a power unit assembly B, and a brush unit assembly C are integrated, a series of brush restricting pin insertion holes 24 are disposed from a rear side end surface of the control unit assembly through the brush, and therefore assembling workability is improved without failures in assembling work which occur due to breaking away of a brush from a brush holder to the rotary shaft side.
Rotary electric machine for vehicle
An object of the present invention is to provide a rotary electric machine for vehicle which can improve workability and efficiently secure an attachment space at low cost. In a rotary electric machine according to the present invention, a terminal 34 is attached on the outside of a rear bracket 21 so as to be overlapped and fitted to a voltage adjustment device 22 in an axial direction. Fitting portions 22j and 22k made of conductors are provided on the voltage adjustment device 22. Portions 34m and 34p to be fitted, which are made of conductors, are provided on the terminal 34. The voltage adjustment device 22 and the terminal 34 are integrally fixed to the rear bracket 21, with the fitting portions being fitted into the portions to be fitted.
Electric motor/generator with easily replaceable brush holder and brushes
An electrical machine (1) with a machine housing (5) receiving an electrically excited rotor (2) and a stator (10) of the electrical machine (1) and with an electronics unit (18) fastened to the machine housing (5) and electrically connected to an exciter winding (3) of the rotor (2) via at least one sliding contact (11, 12) consisting of at least one slip ring (13, 14) assigned to the rotor (2) and at least one brush (15, 16) assigned to the electronics unit (18), the brush (15, 16) being arranged displaceably in a brush holder (20). In this case it is provided that the brush holder (20) is fastened exchangeably in a guiding recess (27) of the electronics unit (18).
ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE INTEGRATED WITH CONTROL DEVICE
A rotary electric machine integrated with a control device includes: a housing composed of a front bracket and a rear bracket and supporting a rotor and a stator; and a control device attached to the rear bracket. The control device is composed of: a power module having a switching element that is for energizing a stator winding of the stator; a field module having a switching element that is for energizing a field winding of the rotor; a heat sink cooling the power module and the field module; and a control board having a control circuit that controls the switching elements, the control device also including: a battery end terminal; and a grounding end terminal. Then, the heat sink is attached to the rear bracket while being insulated therefrom.
Electric machine with combined insulator and terminal assembly
An electronics package for an alternator includes an electrically conductive carrier member and a terminal assembly engaging the carrier member. The carrier member includes an inner side, an outer side, and at least one passage extending from the inner side to the outer side. A plurality of switches are connected to the carrier member. The terminal assembly includes an electrically insulative portion and a plurality of electrical traces extending through the electrically insulative portion. The electrically insulative portion includes a post extending through the at least one passage of the carrier member, a first shoulder engaging the outer side of the carrier member, and a second shoulder engaging the inner side of the carrier member. The post, the first shoulder, and second shoulder are all formed as a unitary component.
HEAT EXCHANGER AND COOLING SYSTEM FOR GENERATOR ELECTRONICS COOLING
A system includes a heat exchanger, a first heat source disposed along a first circuit, and a second heat source disposed along a second circuit. The heat exchanger includes a first core defining a first flow path through the heat exchanger and along the first circuit and a second core defining a second flow path through the heat exchanger and along the second circuit that is parallel to the first flow path. The first and second cores define a third flow path extending through the heat exchanger that is configured to be in a heat exchange relationship with the first and second flow paths.
