The field element includes a magnet portion that includes a plurality of magnets arranged in an array in a circumferential direction. In the magnet, an easy axis of magnetization is oriented in a circular arc shape such that, on a d-axis side closer to a d-axis that is a magnetic pole center, the orientation of the easy axis of magnetization is parallel to the d-axis compared to a q-axis side closer to a q-axis that is a magnetic pole boundary, and a circular-arc-shaped magnet magnetic path is formed along the easy axis of magnetization. The magnet is formed into a circular arc shape when viewed from an axial direction of the rotor, and is provided with a first reference surface that is a planar surface and a second reference surface that is parallel to the first reference surface.

Pump with high torque drive

A fluid moving apparatus includes an electric motor having a rotor and a stator and a fluid displacement member. The rotor rotates relative to the stator on a common axis to generate a rotational output. The rotational output is provided to the fluid displacement member to power the fluid displacement member to one of move linearly along and rotate about the common axis. The stator includes one or more coils configured to power rotation of the rotor. The one or more coils extend circumferentially around and can be coaxial on the common axis.

A rotating electric machine includes: a field system including a magnet section having a plurality of magnetic poles whose polarities alternate in a circumferential direction; and an armature arranged to face the field system and including a multi-phase armature coil. Either of the field system and the armature is configured as a rotor. The field system also includes a soft-magnetic core having at least one magnet-receiving hole in which the magnet section is received and held. The armature coil has electrical conductor sections arranged at positions facing the field system and at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction. In the armature, inter-conductor members are provided between the electrical conductor sections in the circumferential direction. The inter-conductor members in each part of the armature corresponding to one magnetic pole are magnetically saturated by magnetic flux from one magnetic pole of the magnet section when the electrical conductor sections are not energized.

An electric motor includes a rotor and a stator formed by a plurality of stator phases. The stator phases include coils that extend fully about the motor axis of the motor. The stator phases further include teeth arrayed around the motor axis. Each tooth has a tooth face oriented towards the rotor. Multiple of the lamina forming each tooth are exposed at the tooth face and are configured to extend axially and radially to the tooth face. The stator phases magnetically interact with the rotor to drive rotation of the rotor on the motor axis.
