Device and method to reduce clutch engagement speed
A safety device includes a safety module and a safety control module in order to reduce a speed of an unwanted clutch engagement when a malfunction of a motor for a clutch control actuator occurs, such as by the power supply for the motor being interrupted, so that a driver can have more time to react in such situation.
Brake device
The disclosure relates to a brake device for an electric motor, which has at least one armature winding and at least one field winding, comprising at least one open-loop and/or closed-loop control unit at least for open-loop control and/or closed-loop control of at least one electric current through the armature winding and/or through the field winding. According to the disclosure, in the event of short-circuit braking of the electric motor, the open-loop and/or control-loop unit is intended to reduce, at least temporarily, an electric armature current flowing through the armature winding.
Brake device
The disclosure relates to a brake device for an electric motor, which has at least one armature winding and at least one field winding, comprising at least one open-loop and/or closed-loop control unit at least for open-loop control and/or closed-loop control of at least one electric current through the armature winding and/or through the field winding. According to the disclosure, in the event of short-circuit braking of the electric motor, the open-loop and/or control-loop unit is intended to reduce, at least temporarily, an electric armature current flowing through the armature winding.
DRIVING AND RESISTANCE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR PERMANENT-MAGNET SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR
A driving and resistance control system for a permanent-magnet synchronous motor is disclosed. A control device includes a processing unit, a motor driving circuit, a resistance controller, and an interlock switch. In a first operation mode, the interlock switch makes the motor driving circuit and the permanent-magnet synchronous motor open-circuiting, and connecting stator windings of the permanent-magnet synchronous motor to the resistance controller, and under this condition, the external rotor of the permanent-magnet synchronous motor is rotated by spinning of a flywheel, so that the permanent-magnet synchronous motor is operating in a generator mode to generate a resisting force to the flywheel by mesas of a resistance generation device. In a second operation mode, the interlock switch makes the motor driving circuit and the permanent-magnet synchronous motor closed-circuiting and cutting off control of the resistance controller, and electrical energy is supplied from the power supply circuit to the permanent-magnet synchronous motor, so as to make the permanent-magnet synchronous motor operating in a motor mode to induce an acceleration on the external rotor.

An open roof assembly for use in a vehicle roof of a vehicle comprises a moveably arranged closure member for selectively covering or at least partially exposing an opening in the vehicle roof, an electric motor operatively coupled to the closure member through a mechanical drive assembly for moving the closure member, an electric driving unit for providing a supply signal to the electric motor and a control unit operatively coupled to the electric driving unit for controlling operation of the electric motor. The electric driving unit comprises four switching devices in a bridged configuration and the control unit is configured to control a motion of the closure member by controlling operation of the switching devices, and to incur a safety stop during a motion of the closure member by an immediate reversal of a polarity of the supply signal.
Open roof assembly for use in a vehicle and a method for operating same
An open roof assembly for use in a vehicle roof of a vehicle comprises a moveably arranged closure member for selectively covering or at least partially exposing an opening in the vehicle roof, an electric motor operatively coupled to the closure member through a mechanical drive assembly for moving the closure member, an electric driving unit for providing a supply signal to the electric motor and a control unit operatively coupled to the electric driving unit for controlling operation of the electric motor. The electric driving unit comprises four switching devices in a bridged configuration and the control unit is configured to control a motion of the closure member by controlling operation of the switching devices, and to incur a safety stop during a motion of the closure member by an immediate reversal of a polarity of the supply signal.
Active fail-safe module to control the safe state of an electrical motor
An apparatus is disclosed that in one embodiment includes a circuit configured to selectively activate a transistor. The circuit is further configured to assert a signal when the circuit detects an electrical short between terminals of the transistor or when the circuit detects the transistor does not conduct current while the transistor is activated by the circuit. The circuit is further configured to output another signal, which is set to a first state or a second state. The other signal is set to the first state when the circuit detects the electrical short. The other signal is set to the second state when the circuit detects the transistor does not conduct current while activated.
RUNAWAY PREVENTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Systems and methods preventing vehicle runaway of an electric powersport vehicle in an emergency situation are provided. One method comprises receiving, via an emergency shutoff switch of the electric powersport vehicle or via a tether switch of the electric powersport vehicle, a signal indicating an existence of the emergency situation while the electric powersport vehicle is in motion, and in response to the signal, attempting to regulate an operation of an electric motor configured to propel the electric powersport vehicle to cause regenerative braking of the electric motor while the electric powersport vehicle is in motion.
Using linear synchronous motors for retarding linear motion and conveying systems
Provided is a system for reducing velocity of a conveyance. The system may include a conveyance. A first member of a linear motor may be attached to the conveyance. A second member of the linear motor may include stator coils. The second member may be separate from the first member and may be separate from the conveyance. The first member may be moveable relative to the second member. A current-interrupting device may selectively shunt at least two coil wires of the stator coils by shorting the at least two coil wires. A method for reducing velocity of a conveyance and a method for making a system for reducing velocity of a conveyance are also disclosed.

Provided is a system for reducing velocity of a conveyance. The system may include a conveyance. A first member of a linear motor may be attached to the conveyance. A second member of the linear motor may include stator coils. The second member may be separate from the first member and may be separate from the conveyance. The first member may be moveable relative to the second member. A current-interrupting device may selectively shunt at least two coil wires of the stator coils by shorting the at least two coil wires. A method for reducing velocity of a conveyance and a method for making a system for reducing velocity of a conveyance are also disclosed.
