Lacing system with loops for tightening and loosening
An article of footwear includes an upper and a tensioning mechanism operable to move the upper between a tightened state and a loosened state and including a tensioning cable having a first end disposed on one of a lateral side and a medial side of the upper. The tensioning cable is movable in a tightening direction to move the tightening mechanism into a tightened state and movable in a loosening direction to move the tightening mechanism into a loosened state. The article of footwear also includes a locking device disposed on the one of the lateral side and the medial side of the upper. The locking device is operable between a locked state restricting movement of the tensioning cable in the loosening direction and an unlocked state permitting movement of the tensioning cable in both the loosening direction and the tightening direction.
STRAP SYSTEM FOR ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear includes an upper defining a throat configured to receive a foot. The article of footwear also includes a sole structure coupled to the upper. The article of footwear further includes a panel having a first side coupled to the upper for movement between an open position and a closed position. The panel exposes a portion of the throat in the open position and covers the portion of the throat in the closed position. The article of footwear also includes a strap having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first end and the second end are disposed on a first side of the upper with a body portion of the strap disposed between the first end and the second end surrounding the upper.
QUICK-PULL SHOE CLOSURE
An article of footwear includes a medial support member coupled to a medial portion and having a first rail, a lateral support member coupled to a lateral portion and having a second rail, a plurality of lace-receiving members disposed on and movable along the first and second rails to move the article of footwear between an open configuration and a closed configuration, a lace member extending between the plurality of first lace-receiving members and the plurality of second lace-receiving members, a grip member extending from an upper-most first lace-receiving member of the plurality of first lace-receiving members or from an upper-most second lace-receiving member of the plurality of second lace-receiving members, and a locking member configured for securing the article of footwear in the closed configuration. The locking member has a first side portion and a second side portion forming a notch therebetween configured to receive the grip member.
Device for tightening a sports boot
Sports boot including a shell and a liner, the shell extending upward so as to at least partially surround the lower leg of a user and including at least one tightening device configured to tighten the lower leg of the user. The tightening device includes the following: a first strap portion attached to the shell using a first anchoring mechanism; a second strap portion; mechanism configured to pair the first strap portion with the second strap portion; adjusting mechanism configured to adjust the length of the first strap portion or the length of the second strap portion; and a second anchoring mechanism configured to optionally connect the second strap portion to the shell.
EASY LACING SYSTEM FOR ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
A closure mechanism for an article of footwear comprising a tongue, adjustable lace, toggle, and a tether is provided. The adjustable lace operatively connects the lateral sidewall and the medial sidewall along a throat opening, the tongue extends between the lateral sidewall and the medial sidewall within the throat opening, the toggle is coupled to and movable along the adjustable lace and fixedly attached to the tongue, and the tether is operatively coupled to each of the tongue and the toggle. The closure mechanism provides ease of use with a single motion, one-handed, transition from an open position to a tightened position by exerting a traction force in a predetermined direction on the adjustable lace, and from a tightened position to an open position by exerting a traction force in the predetermined direction on the tether. This disclosure may be particularly beneficial to wearers having limited dexterity or mobility.
MOTORIZED SHOE WITH GESTURE CONTROL
An article of footwear includes a motorized tensioning system, sensors, and a gesture control system. Based on information received from one or more sensors the gesture control system may detect a prompting gesture and enters an armed mode for receiving further instructions. In the armed mode the system may detect a variety of different control gestures that correspond to different tensioning commands.
SENSOR FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear or an article of apparel can include provisions for facilitating the use of a sensor device and protecting the sensor device from external particles or fluid. The sensor device can include a conduit for moving air through the sensor device from one portion of the sensor device to another portion of the sensor device. An elastic membrane can be attached to an opening formed in the sensor device. The elastic membrane can deform in response to changes in air pressure within the sensor device.
Article of footwear and charging system
A charging system can include provisions for providing power to various systems or components associated with the article of footwear. A charging system may include a charging unit with one or more components configured for use with one or more articles of footwear, where the articles of footwear can include different sizes. The components can be magnetically joined to the article in some cases. Upon connection with a power source, the article may be configured to unlace automatically. In some cases, the charging system can be used to facilitate the transfer of power to components in an automated tensioning system.
Footwear having motorized adjustment system and elastic upper
An article of footwear may include an upper configured to receive a foot of a wearer, the upper including one or more elastic portions and one or more substantially inelastic portions. The footwear may further include a plurality of lace receiving members fixedly attached to an outer surface of the upper on the inelastic portions of the upper. Also, the footwear may include a sole structure fixedly attached to the upper. In addition, the footwear may include a motorized tensioning system including a motorized tightening device and a tensile member extending through the plurality of lace receiving members, the tightening device being configured to apply tension in the tensile member to adjust the size of an internal void defined by the article of footwear by drawing two or more of the plurality of lace receiving members closer to one another.
Footwear having removable motorized adjustment system
An article of footwear may include a motorized tensioning system. The tensioning system may include a tensile member and a motorized tightening device configured to apply tension in the tensile member to adjust the size of an internal void defined by the article of footwear. The tensioning system may further include a power source configured to supply power to the motorized tightening device. The tensile member, the motorized tightening device, and the power source may be configured to be removably attached to the article of footwear.
