BOOTS WITH FIT ADJUSTMENT SYSTEMS
Boots with fit adjustment systems that are configured to selectively adjust a fit of the boot on the wearer's foot by engaging the foot with more force and/or across a greater surface area relative to a pull-on boot that lacks the fit adjustment system. The fit adjustment system may adjust the fit of the boot without adjusting the external dimensions of the boot. The fit adjustment system includes an instep pad that is positioned interior of the external surface of the upper within an instep region of the boot, a lace that is coupled to the instep pad, and a lace adjustment mechanism. The lace adjustment mechanism includes a lace lock that selectively defines an adjustment length of the lace. Actuating the lace adjustment mechanism to reduce the adjustment length exerts a tightening force on the instep pad and draws the instep pad toward a heel region of the boot.
SENSORIZED SHOELACE-TENSIONING SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present disclosure relates to systems and devices for measuring motion of a shoe and tension in the shoelace of the shoe.
FOOT PRESENCE SENSING SYSTEMS FOR ACTIVE FOOTWEAR
A foot presence sensor system for an active article of footwear can include a sensor housing configured to be disposed at or in an insole of the article, and a controller circuit, disposed within the sensor housing, configured to trigger one or more automated functions of the footwear based on a foot presence indication. In an example, the sensor system includes a capacitive sensor configured to sense changes in a capacitance signal in response to proximity of a body. A dielectric member can be provided between the capacitive sensor and the body to enhance an output signal from the sensor.
LACE GUIDE FOR ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR
This disclosure is directed to lace-receiving structures that may be included in articles of footwear. More specifically, in some embodiments, the articles of footwear disclosed herein include a sole structure, an upper coupled to the sole structure and forming a foot-receiving cavity therebetween, and a lace-receiving structure that extends through the upper into the foot-receiving cavity and is configured to receive an adjustment member. In some embodiments, the upper includes an aperture that is configured to permit the lace-receiving structure to extend through the upper. In some embodiments, the lace-receiving structure may include an anchor portion that extends underneath an interior surface of the upper within the foot-receiving cavity. The anchor portion may be configured to couple the lace-receiving structure to the upper.
Upper for Article of Footwear
An upper for an article of footwear includes a fixed closure disposed on one of a medial side and a lateral side of the upper, a plurality of parallel first strands each extending from a first end attached to the other one of the medial side and the lateral side of the upper to a second end attached the other one of the medial side and the lateral side and including a first intermediate portion formed between the first end and the second end, and a plurality of parallel second strands each extending from a third end attached to the one of the medial side and the lateral side of the upper to a fourth end selectively attachable to the fixed closure. The second strands are looped around the first intermediate portion of respective ones of the first strands.
OVERSHOE FOOTWEAR TRACTION DEVICE
A footwear traction device is provided that is removably attachable to an item of footwear. The footwear traction device comprises a traction portion having one or more traction elements on a bottom thereof, a heel support portion disposed at a rear traction portion, and a forefoot support portion disposed at a forefoot traction portion. A cable extends through cable guides or channels and attaches the traction portion, the heel support portion, and the forefoot support portion together. A cable reel device is rotatably operable to adjust a length of the cable to selectively secure and unsecure the footwear traction device to the item of footwear. Shortening the length of the cable tightens the traction portion, the heel support portion and the forefoot support portion inwardly against the item of footwear, thereby securing the footwear traction device to the footwear.
RAPID-ENTRY FOOTWEAR HAVING AN EXPANDABLE OPENING
Footwear is disclosed herein that comprises a base with a cut-out and/or a fold pattern, either of which, when actuated, is useful to transform the footwear from a closed/relaxed configuration to an open/actuated configuration in which the rapid-entry shoe has an expanded shoe opening to facilitate reception of a foot of an individual wearing the rapid-entry shoe.
TENSIONING SYSTEM FOR ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear includes an upper and cable routed along the upper and operable between a tightened state and a loosened state. A first strap includes a first plurality of bands each extending from a first end attached at a first side of the upper to a second end attached to a portion the cable on a second side of the upper. A second strap includes a second plurality of bands each extending from a first end attached at the second side of the upper to a second end attached to another portion of the cable on the first side of the upper. The first plurality of bands of the first strap are interweaved with the second plurality of bands of the second strap and are operable to move through the second plurality of bands when the cable is moved between the tightened state and the loosened state.
Footwear upper with lace-engaged zipper system
A footwear upper comprises a front section and a rear section. The front section is at least partially forward of the rear section and at least partially defines a foot-receiving cavity. The front section has a medial edge and a lateral edge partially defining a foot entry opening. A zipper system includes a medial slider movable along the medial edge of the front section to zip the rear section to the medial edge, a medial zipper pull engaged with the medial slider, a lateral slider movable along the lateral edge of the front section to zip the rear section to the lateral edge, and a lateral zipper pull engaged with the lateral slider. A tightening system includes a lace-receiving feature on the front section forward of the zipper system, and a lace extending through the lace-receiving feature, through the medial zipper pull, and through the lateral zipper pull.
Articles of footwear transitional between a foot insertion or removal configuration and a foot supporting configuration
Foot support systems (and articles of footwear including them) include a midfoot flex component, such as a bi-stable spring element, that moves the article of footwear/sole structure/ foot support component/midfoot flex component between an open position/foot insertion or removal configuration and a closed position/foot supporting configuration and vice versa.
