Sensor For An Article Of Footwear
An article of footwear or an article of apparel can include provisions for facilitating the use of a sensor device and protecting the sensor device from external particles or fluid. The sensor device can include a conduit for moving air through the sensor device from one portion of the sensor device to another portion of the sensor device. An elastic membrane can be attached to an opening formed in the sensor device. The elastic membrane can deform in response to changes in air pressure within the sensor device.
Magnetic zipper
New forms of fasteners are disclosed. Some such fasteners include a new form of zipper with magnetic actuation, initiated by bringing one end of a linear array of magnets into closer proximity with another end of a linear array of magnets. Some such fasteners include structural locking, driven by magnetic force. Some such fasteners include elastic subunits incorporated in a common semi-flexible substrate. The techniques set forth are applicable to a wide variety of applications, incorporating many different materials. For example, in some contexts, some fastening techniques allow rapid closing of articles, such as gym bags or sports apparel, with minimum effort, leading to an extraordinary custom-fit to a user's preferences.
No bow lace loopers
A shoe lace securement system has a pair of shoe lace securing mechanisms. Each of the pair of shoe lace securing mechanisms has a spool having a pair of circular discs connected together, wherein inward facing walls of each of the pair of circular discs have a plurality of protrusions. A hollow tube connects the pair of circular discs. A conduit is attached to an upper rear area of the shoe. A stretchable strap is inserted in the conduit. A cap member is attached to each end of the stretchable strap. A pair of securing clasps are provided, each of the securing clasps comprises a tubular member having a hollow interior, the tubular member cut along a first horizontal edge through the hollow interior to a second horizontal edge, the tubular member hingly coupled at the second horizontal edge; a first opening formed through a top surface of the tubular member and in the hollow interior, and a second opening formed through a bottom surface of the tubular member and in the hollow interior.
SHOE
A shoe includes a sole, an upper provided above the sole to accommodate a foot, a tightening part that applies tightening force to the upper, and a force transmitter that transmits tightening force from the tightening part to a lower part of a midfoot portion of the upper.
Hands-free Step in Footwear and Method of Use
An article of footwear with an insole, an adaptable heel configured to adjust between at least an open and a closed configuration, a retainer connected to the heel configured to hold the heel in one configuration, the retainer having a locked state and an unlocked state, a releaser connected to said retainer configured to place the retainer into the unlocked state. In some cases, the insole is configured to have a raised configuration and a lowered configuration, the raised configuration being linked by a linker to the heel and its open configuration and the lowered configuration being linked by the linker to the heel and its closed configuration. In some cases, the article of footwear has a tightener having a secure state and a loose state, and the heel's closed configuration linked to the tightener's secure state.
Transmission for motorized tensioning system of article of footwear
A tensioning system, method, and article of footwear includes a motor, a reel, and a transmission configured to transmit torque from the motor shaft to the reel shaft along a torque path to drive and rotate the reel shaft. The transmission has a compound gear. The compound gear includes a shaft gear, comprising an elongate shaft substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and offset with respect to the motor shaft along the lateral axis, the shaft gear configured to rotate independent of a fixed reference, and operatively coupled the reel and a ring gear, fixedly coupled to a first end of the shaft gear and operatively coupled to the motor.
Standoff unit for a control device in an article of footwear
An article of footwear or an article of apparel can include provisions for facilitating the installation of a control device. The control device can include a panel comprising a plurality of buttons that can provide manual control to a user. The control device can be installed in a compartment within the article after initial manufacture of the article of footwear. In some cases, the control device can include a raised standoff assembly that can be configured to decrease inadvertent pressure being applied to the buttons.
Protective footwear
A protective footwear includes a foot engagement portion, a lower-leg engagement portion, and a cable closure system. The lower-leg engagement portion defines a cable end interface and a buckle interface. The cable closure system is configured to facilitate at least partially securing the protective footwear to a leg of a wearer. The cable closure system includes a buckle assembly configured to releasably couple to the buckle interface and a cable extending between the cable end interface and the buckle assembly. The cable has a first end coupled to the cable end interface and an opposing second end coupled to the buckle assembly.
RAPID-ENTRY FOOTWEAR HAVING A HEEL ARM AND A RESILIENT MEMBER
A rapid-entry shoe having a heel arm configured to transition between a collapsed configuration, for easy donning and doffing of the shoe, and an uncollapsed configuration, for securing a foot inside the shoe, the shoe having a resilient member configured to bias the heel arm toward the uncollapsed configuration.
Motorized tensioning system with sensors
A tensioning system for articles of footwear and articles of apparel is disclosed. The tensioning system includes a tensioning member that is tightened or loosened using a motorized tensioning device for winding and unwinding the tensioning member on a spool. The tensioning system may be used with various sensors to determine how the motorized tensioning device should be controlled.
