CONTROL INPUT DEVICE

A control input device for a linked system comprising: a plurality of proximity sensors provided evenly spaced around a ring defined on a common sensor platform, each proximity sensor operable to determine the relative proximity of any objects within a detection zone associated with the proximity sensor and output a proximity signal in response; a core unit operable to receive proximity signals from each proximity sensor and output a directional signal in response thereto; a communication unit operable to communicate the directional signal to the linked system; and one or more illumination units associated with each proximity sensor, wherein the one or more illumination units associated with each proximity sensor are operated in response to the proximity signal output by the associated proximity sensor to indicate directionality of a motion relative to the plurality of sensors.

Keyboard key with capacitive switch having mechanical and proximity switching functions

A key switch implements a receiving switch conductor and transmitting switch conductor in the key switch. Depressing the key switch will cause the receiving switch conductor and transmitting switch conductor to approach each other. The approach of a finger and movement of the key switch can be detected using the receiving switch conductor and the transmitting switch conductor.

INDUCTIVE POSITION SENSOR WITH SWITCH FUNCTION

An inductive sensor which includes one or more inductive coils and an inductance to digital converter. The output of the inductive sensor may be used to replace the functions of a switch and a potentiometer to initiate and control various outputs in welding-type systems and applications.

Sensor and manufacturing method thereof

A sensor is provided with a cylindrical-shaped housing which has an opening formed at one end, an electronic component which is housed in the housing, a cylindrical-shaped clamp of which one end is inserted into the housing from the opening, and a sealing resin which seals the gap between the inner wall of the housing and the outer wall of the clamp. On the outer wall, the clamp has a rib which rises towards the inner wall of the housing. The rib includes an apex and a sloped surface which extends from the apex towards another end of the clamp and which intersects the outer wall of the clamp. The sealing resin, which exudes from between the inner wall of the housing and the apex and which is positioned on the sloped surface, has a recess resulting from surface tension.

SWITCHING DEVICE

The present invention relates to a switching device comprising at least one (a first) sheet of glazing material having a first major surface and an opposing second major surface, a switch attached to the first major surface of the first sheet of glazing material, and a sensor assembly facing the second major surface of the first sheet of glazing material. The switch comprises a movable portion operatively coupled with the sensor assembly such that upon operation of the switch, the movable portion moves from a first position to a second position and the movement of the movable portion from the first position to the second position is detectable by the sensor assembly. The switching device may be part of a window or door for a building or a vehicle.

Switching element

A switching element for the contactless activation of an electric-motor adjustment drive of a motor vehicle, in particular an electric-motor-operated liftgate, having a profile strip, which extends in a longitudinal direction. The profile strip has a channel, which extends in the longitudinal direction and which transitions into a slit, which extends in the longitudinal direction. An electrode is arranged within the channel. The invention further relates to an electric-motor-operated liftgate having a switching element and to a method for creating a switching element.

MAGNETIC SWITCH WITH TOGGLE AND DE-BOUNCE FUNCTIONALITY

A magnetic switch sensor is provided having a magnetic field sensing element configured to generate a magnetic field signal in response to a magnetic field indicative of a distance or angle between the magnetic field sensing element and a target, a first circuit coupled to receive the magnetic field signal and having an output to provide a comparison signal, and a debounce circuit coupled to receive the comparison signal and having an output to provide a debounced signal. The sensor can include a second circuit having an input coupled to receive the debounced signal and an output at which is provided a toggle signal that transitions between first and second levels every other time the magnetic field signal crosses a threshold level.

Line control device and line control method for user terminal

A line control device and a line control method for a user terminal are operated to control the user terminal. The line control device includes a flexible body, a control unit arranged in the flexible body, and a first deformation detection unit arranged along a first axis of the flexible body. The first deformation detection unit is electronically connected to the control unit. The first deformation detection unit is operated to detect a deformation of the flexible body with respect to the first axis. The control unit is operated to control the user terminal according to a deformation of the flexible body with respect to the first axis.

Non-contact proximity sensor
