MODULAR TOUCH PANEL SMART SWITCHES AND SYSTEMS

A touch panel smart switch includes a switch module comprising and a removable faceplate module communicatively couple to the switch module. The faceplate module includes a touch sensor, a display device, a processor, and a memory. The touch sensor is configured to detect a touch input by a user, and the display device is configured for displaying virtual switches at locations at which the touch sensor can detect a touch input by the user. The processor displays a first virtual switch at a first location on the display device, and selectively connects a first load to a power source using the switch module in response to the touch sensor detecting a touch input by the user at the first location of the first virtual switch displayed on the display device.

In one embodiment, an electronic display includes a display stack including one or more layers; and drive or sense electrodes of a touch sensor substantially disposed on one or more of the layers on or within the display stack. The drive or sense electrodes are made of a conductive mesh of conductive material.

The first hardware button is configured to: after a first restocking suggestion is output by the output interface, prompt the user to provide a confirmation input regarding the first restocking suggestion; send a respective confirmation signal to the remotely located server if the first hardware button is activated by the user within a preset time window after the first restocking suggestion is output; and send a respective rejection signal to the remotely located server if the first hardware button is not activated within the preset time window. A corresponding restocking method is also disclosed.

Input device and electronic apparatus

Provided are an input device and an electronic apparatus each including capacitive elements and being capable of allowing a plurality of information items to be separately input by simple operations. The input device includes: a capacitive element; a conductor that can be electrostatically coupled to the capacitive element; an operation portion that allows a load to be applied to the conductor; and a retaining portion that retains the conductor apart from the capacitive element. The retaining portion is capable of displacing the conductor with respect to the capacitive element in a stepwise manner in accordance with the load that is applied to the conductor through intermediation of the operation portion, and is capable of retaining the conductor at a plurality of positions with respect to the capacitive element.
