Gesture Recognition Device for Footwear Motor Actuation

A gesture recognition device configured to detect a gesture performed by a user to actuate a motor of a closure mechanism of an article of footwear. The gesture recognition device may include a sensor unit with an accelerometer sensor, and an analysis unit in operative communication with the sensor unit. The analysis unit may be configured to execute a gesture confirmation algorithm to confirm or reject possible gesture event data received from the sensor unit as a true gesture event. If the gesture confirmation algorithm confirms the possible gesture event data as a true gesture event, the analysis unit may output a signal to actuate the motor.

A foot presence sensor system for an active article of footwear can include a sensor housing configured to be disposed at or in an insole of the article, and a controller circuit, disposed within the sensor housing, configured to trigger one or more automated functions of the footwear based on a foot presence indication. In an example, the sensor system includes a capacitive sensor, and the sensor is configured to sense changes in a foot proximity to the sensor in footwear. A baseline or reference condition for the capacitive sensor can be updated to accommodate different use conditions.

Ski boot

A ski boot, including an outer boot (200) and an inner boot (100); the outer boot (100) comprise a sole (110) and a vamp (120), the sole (110) being integral; the vamp (120) includes a right side portion (122) of the vamp and a left side portion (123) of the vamp, the right side portion (122) of the vamp and the left side portion (123) of the vamp being hinged on the sole (110) such that the same may rotate relative to the sole (110) between an open state and a closed state; the outer boot (100) further includes a locking device (130) and a locking wire (140); the locking wire (140) surrounds the vamp (120) at a plurality of locations on the vamp (120), may be buried in the locking device (130) so as to keep the right side portion (122) of the vamp and the left side portion (123) of the vamp in the closed state, and may be released from the locking device (130) to allow the right side portion of the vamp (122) and the left side portion of the vamp (123) rotate to the open state. Therefore, the ski boot may facilitate a skier putting on and taking off the outer boot (100).

SPOOL AND LACING MODULE PROVIDED WITH SAME

A spool includes a shaft, a trunk portion, and an upper lid portion. The shaft is rotatable about a central axis. The trunk portion includes a lower portion to which the shaft is connected and a radially outer surface around which a string material is wound. The upper lid portion is on an upper surface of the trunk portion. The trunk portion includes a groove portion, a first base portion, and a second base portion. The groove portion is recessed axially downward, extends in a radial direction, and is provided with the string material. The first base portion and the second base portion are side by side in a radial direction with the groove portion therebetween. The first base portion includes a first protruding portion protruding toward the second base portion. The second base portion includes a second protruding portion protruding toward the first base portion.

Lace fixation assembly and system

A lace closure system may include a low friction guide that defines the turning radius and direction of a lace which, though tension, pulls two or more panels toward each other. The lace closure system may include a fixator that defines a slot into which the lace is led, containing multiple engagement surfaces that, when the lace is wrapped into the slot, serve to engage the lace preventing unwanted loosening. The lace closure system may include a ring onto which the lace is attached, to assist in applying manual tension to the lace. The ring may be shaped and sized to removably attach to an outer perimeter of the fixator after excess lace has been wrapped into the slot.
