Embodiments may be generally direct to apparatuses, systems, method, and techniques to determine a configuration for a plurality of connectors, the configuration to associate a first interconnect protocol with a first subset of the plurality of connectors and a second interconnect protocol with a second subset of the plurality of connectors, the first interconnect protocol and the second interconnect protocol are different interconnect protocols and each comprising one of a serial link protocol, a coherent link protocol, and an accelerator link protocol, cause processing of data for communication via the first subset of the plurality of connectors in accordance with the first interconnect protocol, and cause processing of data for communication via the second subset of the plurality of connector in accordance with the second interconnect protocol.

A data compression technique involves: selecting, from a data block, a plurality of bit strings as sample data. The technique further involves: determining a set of characters included in the sample data. Each character in the set of characters is represented by at least one bit string among the plurality of bit strings. The technique further involves: compressing the data block if statistical characteristics of the set of characters match predetermined statistical characteristics. Accordingly, incompressible data can be filtered out efficiently and accurately, so as to utilize computing resources more efficiently.

Methods and systems for improving coding decoding efficiency of video by providing a syntax modeler, a buffer, and a decoder. The syntax modeler may associate a first sequence of symbols with syntax elements. The buffer may store tables, each represented by a symbol in the first sequence, and each used to associate a respective symbol in a second sequence of symbols with encoded data. The decoder decodes the data into a bitstream using the second sequence retrieved from a table.
NEAR-STORAGE ACCELERATION OF DICTIONARY DECODING
An accelerator is disclosed. The accelerator may include a memory that may store a dictionary table. An address generator may be configured to generate an address in the dictionary table based on an encoded value, which may have an encoded width. An output filter may be configured to filter a decoded value from the dictionary table based on the encoded value, the encoded width, and a decoded width of the decoded data. The accelerator may be configured to support at least two different encoded widths.
LAYOUT FORMAT FOR COMPRESSED DATA
Techniques are provided for a layout format for compressed data. A first set of data blocks are grouped into a first group based upon a first frequency of access to the first set of data blocks. A second set of data blocks are grouped into a second group based upon a second frequency of access to the second set of data blocks. The first set of data blocks are compressed into a first compression group using a first compression algorithm. The second set of data blocks are compressed into a second compression group using a second compression algorithm.

A data processing method includes obtaining a plurality of data blocks, determining a first data block and a second data block from the data blocks, where the first data block has a first hash value, and the second data block has a second hash value, where the first hash value is obtained by performing calculation on the first data block based on a hash algorithm and the second hash value is obtained by performing calculation on the second data block based on the hash algorithm, and combining and compressing the first data block and the second data block based on a degree of similarity of the first data block and the second data block.

Additionally, the network switch includes one or more memory devices storing instructions that, when executed, cause the network switch to receive, with the communication circuitry through an optical connection, network traffic to be forwarded, and determine a link layer protocol of the received network traffic. The instructions additionally cause the network switch to forward the network traffic as a function of the determined link layer protocol. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Method of compression for fixed-length data
The disclosure is directed at a method of data compression using inferred data. By determining the number of leading zeroes for each data structure, a general header presenting all leading zeros can be generated and use to compress the data.

The first decoding unit is configured to decode the third data based on the fourth data to the second data. The conversion unit is configured to acquire fifth data by converting a format of the second data. The output unit is configured to output the fifth data to a host.
