Data compressor, data decompressor, and data compression/decompression system
A technique to prevent a retrieving process of a conversion rule from taking a longer time is provided. Provided are a conversion table in which a predetermined number of entry regions capable of storing a mapping between first data and second data smaller in size than the first data are included, the predetermined number of entry regions are divided into a plurality of bank regions, and each of the plurality of bank regions includes entry regions smaller in number than the predetermined number, a determination unit configured to uniquely determine, among the plurality of bank regions, a bank region corresponding to the first data, and a processing unit configured to search entry regions of the determined bank region the predetermined number of times each or a smaller number of times than the predetermined number each, output, when the second data corresponding to the first data is stored, the second data, and when the second data corresponding to the first data is not stored, register the second data corresponding to the first data in an entry region in which another piece of second data is not stored and output the first data.
Guaranteed data compression using intermediate compressed data
Methods for converting an n-bit number into an m-bit number for situations where n>m and also for situations where n<m, where n and m are integers. The methods use truncation or bit replication followed by the calculation of an adjustment value which is applied to the replicated number.
FLEXIBLE COMPRESSION HEADER AND CODE GENERATION
An embodiment of an integrated circuit may comprise a hardware compressor to compress data, the hardware compressor including circuitry to store input data in a history buffer, compute one or more code tables based on the input data, and compute a compression stream header based on the computed one or more code tables. Other embodiments are disclosed and claimed.

NON-VOLATILE MEMORY COMPRESSION FOR MEMORY REPAIR
One example includes an integrated circuit (IC). The IC includes non-volatile memory and logic. The logic is configured to receive repair code associated with a memory instance and assign a compression parameter to the repair code based on a configuration of the memory instance. The logic is also configured to compress the repair code based on the compression parameter to produce compressed repair code and to provide compressed repair data that includes the compressed repair code and compression control data that identifies the compression parameter. A non-volatile memory controller is coupled between the non-volatile memory and the logic. The non-volatile memory controller is configured to transfer the compressed repair data to and/or from the non-volatile memory.
DATA COMPRESSION TRANSMISSION SYSTEM, INTERMEDIATE SERVER, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A technique for compressing and transmitting data without hampering real-time performance can be offered. In a data compression transmission system for collecting data generated by a plurality of devices at a central server via a network, an intermediate server is arranged between the devices and the central server. Each of the devices includes a packet cache processing unit for converting the generated data to a hash value based on a cache. The intermediate server includes a packet cache processing unit for decoding the hash value to original data based on the cache, a buffering unit for aggregating the data and outputting the data as a long packet, and a compression encoding unit for compressing the data and generating encoded data.

Silent phonemes for tracking end of speech
Embodiments describe a method for speech endpoint detection including receiving identification data for a first state associated with a first frame of speech data from a WFST language model, determining that the first frame of the speech data includes silence data, incrementing a silence counter associated with the first state, copying a value of the silence counter of the first state to a corresponding silence counter field in a second state associated with the first state in an active state list, and determining that the value of the silence counter for the first state is above a silence threshold. The method further includes, determining that an endpoint of the speech has occurred in response to determining that the silence counter is above the silence threshold, and outputting text data representing a plurality of words determined from the speech data that was received prior to the endpoint.
Compression and decompression in hardware for data processing
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer-readable storage media for hardware compression and decompression. A system can include a decompressor device coupled to a memory device and a processor. The decompressor device can be configured to receive, from the memory device, compressed data that has been compressed using an entropy encoding, process the compressed data using the entropy encoding to generate uncompressed data, and send the uncompressed data to the processor. The system can also include a compressor device configured to generate, from uncompressed data, a probability distribution of codewords, generate a code table from the probability distribution, and compress incoming data using the generated code table.
